Singing outside in front of the cathedral, with a night breeze -- beautiful and romantic and gutsy. Carreras always did the remarkable, challenged himself, gave himself over to his art. Then when challenged to fight for his very life, he won, returned to his art and profession, and spent decades supporting others with leukemia. The beauty of his voice is wedded with his intelligence and grit, and if we may infer it, the beauty of his soul.

Isabel Escudero, aunque ha pasado un año no he podido contenerme de decirte que Josep Carreras es más que un buen tenor , es un tenor extraordinario , es una bellísima persona y se preocupa por los demás , cosa que no podemos decir de todos . Además a los catalanes nos deleita con sus interpretaciones en catalán , llenas de sentimiento y sensibilidad , no se puede pedir más . Que te vaya bien .

Initially,after his illness,his voice was compromised but just listen to his lush bloom in the 3 Tenor Concert(1990) to know it returned..heavier roles did darker his Voice...but so what ?
