Noticed the same. Car got so much better handling wise. He wasn’t fighting the car at all after the shock change. Like you said he was really steering that thing beforehand.

Not only did he not have to work the wheel as much but he was able to keep the engine in the power band. Smooth is fast. I listen with headphones to hear the tone of the engine. There was a lot less bogging.

I can't believe how much the street stocks have changed, back when I started in the 80's we used street legal stock vehicles,ran stock tires except for the passenger front we could run a wide mud tire or super 60's series tire we could change carbs and for a automatic 10 th place starting position we could change the cam I still have my 79 montecarlo,. They already have 3 latemodels. They might not have space for a street stock or possibly enough money. They already spend a lot of time and money on the latemodels and if they get a street stock it might take away from the latemodels program. Idk food for thought I guess

So I feel like the shock change after hot laps set him backwards a bit and then the last change at the end of the night during testing seemed to scrub some exit speed down and cost him some rpms as well. Otherwise looking great and can't wait for Fairbury!!!! Good Luck HTF!

Seems like it was a very profitable night not so much money-wise but track time and setting the car up and you found that trash problem hopefully they'll clean the tank and the filters and the line before the next week. It's good to see that Joseph can not only drive but set cars up a lot of drivers are not very good at that they know what it's doing they just don't know how to fix it and he seems to know both enjoyed watching be safe. You guys should come racing at the I-80 nationals and silver dollar nationals in Greenwood, NE. Great track and beautiful facility. I-80 speedway is one of the best or THE best track to race super late models in the country. Get in touch with me for more details. It’s a full week of racing with 30,000 to win on Thursday and 53,000 to win in Saturday. Lucas oil late model dirt series is the premier series to compete at it. Would love to have you guys.
