Saw this last night. My 7th time (childhood favourite which has grown with me) and out of all the other performances I have seen, this has to be up there with the best. Go see it, you will not be disappointed. Linzi was INCREDIBLE!

Tonight (30 July 2022) my girlfriend and I have been to watch Joseph at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Joseph was played by Jac Yarrow, Herod was played by Jason Donovan and the narrator was the lady in this clip, Linzi Hateley. The whole show was amazing but for me Linzi stole the show, she was phenomenol

I wish I could see Joseph again for the first time. We had already seen several musicals that week and discovered that they would do encores. The encores didn’t have to be from the show. Twice we heard Johnny Be Good. I knew nothing about Joseph and had low expectations. I loved every minute. I thought it was over. Then came the mega mix. It’s not a song. It’s not a scene. What is it? My very favorite bit of musical theater. I especially love the dancing. As a tall guy I particularly enjoyed watching the tallest member of the cast. And the children. What a brilliant idea to include them in the show. I would love to hear from them about their experience and how it affected their lives.

The narrator lacks correct pitch....looks like they lowered her jey

There is a story to this, in 2019 when this show was revived in the west end’s London palladium they bought on Sheridan smith to play the narrator however she couldn’t hit the notes in the right key so they lowered it for her the touring version is the exact same as that palladium version but with Linzey as the narrator and even though she could probably hit the correct notes they haven’t reverted the key from when it was Sheridan smith

Saw it twice with Jason as Joseph . Feel this version isn’t as good . Wasn’t keen on Linzi Hateley playing three parts.

Totally agree - Jacob needs to be a totally different character, not just the narrator with a beard. One of the most touching scenes is when Jacob reunites with Joseph at the end, big mistake to have changed this part. Also not keen on the children playing adult parts like the baker, butler etc. Have seen many productions over the years - Linzi is the only narrator for me and is always fabulous, but I’m not a fan of the changes they made this time
