West Virginia is something special. I was there in the summer of 2012. A nasty storm rolled thru and I was with a utility company. Some of the nicest people I've ever met, beautiful scenery. Did alot of work in the upper tract area

I can't explain how excited it makes me to see you in West Virginia. I'm from the Charleston area and it really inspired me that you came all this way to have this adventure. I've been getting my gear ready for this spring and going out as often as I can this winter. Thanks so much Joe for inspiring me to get outside and helping me find what I love to do! Looking forward to your next bushcraft base camp videos. Have another awesome year!

Hopefully he got to feeling better even though it's been years since you two did this trip and I've seen more recent videos latley of you two camping together. I hope the best for you both and your other friends you camp with aswell. I just want to say thank you for all the videos you do and all the hard long trips you share with us.

I live in West Virginia... We have some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. And our camping is crazy good. Throughout my life, I've probably spent 2 of my 41 years in the woods camping if not more. I've been all over the U.S. camping and I must say right here at home is some of the best. Hi Joe, This is my second time viewing this video. You guys are so lucky being young enough to go to all these beautiful places. I have ridden through West Virginia on a motorcycle coming home to Florida a few years ago. Not sure if you ever been to Florida BUT, There is not one stone, rock or cliff in Florida, not even a hill. There is a few hills in Central Florida. No rocks anywhere. It was so nice to see all this in this video. People have to import rocks here to use in landscaping. I'm originally from New England and miss the beautiful country side/mountains. I get to see it in your' videos. Thanks Joe.

Just found your channel yesterday--turns out I did almost this exact hike, solo, 3 weeks ago, even from where (I'm guessing) you parked at the edge of the wilderness. I even ate lunch in the same spot, two years later. Camped the second night at the forks, though, and there was still quite a bit of snow on rocky ridge when I went. It's pretty damn cool to see people you know are legit backpackers do the same trips.

Joe, first off I wanna tell you that I love your videos. Secondly, I can not believe that you went up rocky point but didn't go to the famous Lions Head. It's one of my most memorable sites from my many trips up there. Heading back in a few days actually, but anyways keep up the good work. lol, also, I went up there this past winter and didn't know about that gate 3 miles before the trail head parking. Fun walk up that hill, ah? I had never saw such a long, straight road (once you hit the top and go around that turn). It was 4 degrees F that day with 50 mph winds up on bare rocks and it made for an amazing experience.
