So true and they've been that way for thousands of years, but they were also arrogant militarily speaking. They had never been defeated in war until 1945. A change in their world vision was inevitable and necessary. Don't get me wrong, the Japanese people have always been wonderful, considerate and intelligent people it was their leadership and military commanders. I guess I should add that several nations with great military strength should observe and listen to their people concerning war, look back on history so to speak. For those who have seen war up close and personal they know how horrible it is and how much pain it levels on their sliders and people. It’s far beyond time to start to revolutionize how the meet industry treats animals. These beautiful cows deserve the wonderful life they have; after all-they give their life in order for people to be able to consume them. It’s my opinion that the reason why we’re in the situation we’re in is bc animals are living in absolute horrific and deplorable conditions for far too long. Many of the viruses that have threatened our health have come from farm animals. The disgusting environment that they are forced to live in creates toxic disease. You can get away with treating Mother Nature and her animals like crap for so long, before eventually she will backfire and refuse to no longer be treated in such a way.

The idea or notion of what tastes good differs so much. Where I live, we like older animals especially in cows and pigs. Though they take longer to cook, we find it is more savoury and overall tastes better and we like meat well cooked. But not in the western countries and even in some eastern countries too. They like younger meat and rarely cooked in general. This type of meat, Wagyu wouldn't be of much value or sought after that much. But that's the beauty of the world.

ungulates are genetically very plastic; you can select for all kinds of things with impunity, and show results fairly quickly. the problem with this breed is slow to mature, dairy conformation, variance in bloodlines, not consistent, and VERY slow to finish. Also, that big front end is where the lower cuts are, the back end is dairy type, heavily discounted "on the rail' or if you ever have to send to auction in N. America. Japan also controls their Supply Chain vertically with "assoc.", what Canada calls "marketing boards", which the USA says are pinko commie so no way. Livestock are able to use lands that cannot support agricultural (poor or thin top soil, hillsides, rocky ground. low rain fall, etc). They do not need grain to thrive or finish well. The grain fed to livestock is there solely to accelerate growth rate and white marbling of the meat in a confinement industrialized agricultural environment. Herbivores should be raised on herbs. The current industrialized model is based totally on cheap hydrocarbons. The problem is not with the cows but the way they are managed and the mindset of those that consume them (cheapest price per pound always wins). It is a complex modern problem that has a simple ancient solution. Graze animals where crops won't grow. Use animals to increase fertility of marginal ground to produce crop lands. Use animals to manage weeds and pests in crops.

I have a question. I want to buy 2 cows and one bull, cafes, how much would that be? Must be the best breed of wagyu bull and cow, and must be Young. I want to buy a small farm, and raise them from scrath. I also heard if you massage the cows, it also makes the meat alot better, has anyone ever hear of that? I wouldnt mind building a massage pen, where they walk into, and these large armes massage the cows and bulls. Would inbreeding the cows, mess them up after Generations? If i get 2 cows, and one bull, and the 2 cows gets a caf, then they make cafs with there brothers and sisters, and so on, and so on... or do i need to bring in diffrent familys of wagyu beef?

Genetics has more to do with the good flavour than the stress-free environment. As it says in the beginning, the best cattle were selected and bred. Wagyu meat is rich in fats, which add much to the taste.

Stress free allow for more tender muscle tissue, as he was saying it's not something you can read out of a book, you have to be there, to feel it, to live it.

Not true... you can have meat rich in fats and tastes like shit.... i've had this.... if the animals are in stress mode they release certains hormoes and chemicals that will circulate blood stream and foul the meat.... plus there is also a question what the animals are fed is it artificial concerrate shit full of hormones and other garbage or is it natural food free of GMO and other shit.... it has EVERYTHING to do with taste of the meat/

Cattle in stressful environments develop immune system difficulties that can negatively affect the final product, that’s why a lot of big meat industries pump a lot of antibiotics in them to prevent that from happening. It might just be me, but I don’t really want that shit in the stuff I eat

@ 7.25-the American farmer’s results looks great, but still doesn’t have the same level of marbling like the Japanese farmer is producing.
@RodStiffinton4 жыл бұрын
That’s because it’s prime plus, not A5. It takes years and years to develop the A4 to A5 marbling

Man if all cattle were raised this way I would happily pay the increase in price for a steak. For now I have high blood pressure and avoid red meat but a happy cow is good

This model should be standard. All living organisms thrive best in their natural habit. The most detrimental factor to any system being financial or organic is human greed. Greed is a contaminant to all systems. If would just let go and flow with nature the reward to ones wallet and spirit will be everlasting.
