The exposure we get these days to the actual personalities of NFL players in these long form laid back conversations is one of the best parts of being a sports fan in 2024. "We were drained by the end of the season." I can't imagine what an understatement that is from the players' POV. During the summer, Kim Pegula (owner) suffered a stroke and went into cardiac arrest. She's such a huge part of that organization and probably won't fully recover. There was a mass shooting in Buffalo during training camp. Shortly afterward, Dawson Knox (TE) lost his brother. And the icing was Hamlin's incident. Not to mention a slew of injuries. Injuries and *some* off the field incidents can be expected, but Buffalo got hit exceptionally hard. Most organizations won't experience that level of off-the-field drama, let alone in one season. It'll be interesting to see how Buffalo bounces back this year. AFC is a gauntlet, and AFC East might be the toughest division
