Catch is the foundation of MMA, including Brazil (luta live/vale tudo) and Japan (shooting/Shooto). The Gracies were also taught by catch wrestler Orlando Americo da Silva. CACC was ADCC over 100 years ago.

I remember when Josh KO’d Pedro Rizzo in their second fight and I sent a meme to his MySpace page that said “Pedro ‘The Rocked’ Rizzo with a picture of Rizzo after being KO’d. I also used to send Black Sabbath playlists too Josh’s page in the comment section. lol Great fighter! 👊🏽
