Ironic that these highlights start with Josh scoring on a tip. :) Of course, the picture perfect blocks and kills soon follow. Thanks for posting these individual highlight videos from your tournament! Great motivation for the rest of us to keep working on all aspects of our own games...

Haha Most Teams stepped on the court thinking... we got this! They are bunch of short asian dudes. (After warm-ups) we still got this! There was no block. (After the game) damn... they are dope. Lesson of the day: Dont underestimate a saiyan’s power! Oh wait.... An ASIAN’S Power!

Dat Nguyen I play with an Asian dude (mostly in sand) and ppl think the same thing and he just dominates. He's probably 5'5 maybe 5'8 but just so technical favorite guy to play with. Never underestimate I wish I had Josh's jumping ability though man.
@DatNguyen-ph2zr7 жыл бұрын
dachelk1 haha yup. I walked into open gym for the first time and was asking if i can play with some people, and most didnt want to cuz im short and wanted to play outside. After warm up and hitting lines, i got asked to play. Next thing you know, people ask you to play with them every time i come back. Lol

It's been interesting watching the whole USAV Nationals journey you guys had. It was cool seeing you guys improve throughout and almost making it to the final. It was also cool to see you guys do very well despite being almost 6 inches (possibly more) shorter than the competition on average. Some other interesting aspects was how you guys established the middle and everything else came from that; almost like what the pros do.

Honestly, I think the best game of Volleyball I ever played was at the end of a long tournament, and the night before I developed a fever. I don't really remember much of it, I just wanted to finish the game so I could go home and rest, but according to my coach it was by far the best I had ever played. The mind and body are pretty quirky sometimes.

Great highlights. I've been traveling to Singapore to help host volleyball clinics in that region and we have coaches and players come in from Hong Kong and Malaysia as well. I'm always blown away by how solid the players are - even by middle school age - in all of their fundamentals. What level are you guys playing? It seems that on an international level that eventually when you have 6'8" guys jumping 40 plus inches that the countries who tend to be on the shorter side have a harder time competing at the elite level. I mean the Russians throw out front rows with multiple 7' tall players right! Anyway, love your team name and the fun you guys have. Also keep up the great teaching videos. I definitely link my club kids up to them to help them learn.
