Honestly I thought the new beauty and the beast was trying to hard to be a total live action remake of one of the best disney renaissance films And trying to copy greatness will always hang in that shadow, it's why I just don't care for these live action movies But this song right here, was new, very well done and really was the movie's biggest shining moment. because it was a brief moment of them stepping out of the shadow of the old film, the only part I'd say that really improved on the original. Giving beast a song to really cry out his feelings of Belle leaving instead of just sulking in his room while we transitioned to "kill the beast" So I nice gem in a movie that was trying to cash grab in the shadow of nostalgic greatness

Beautiful. I see this version, compared to the one Stevens sang, as the human side of beast singing the song. And although i like this version for its raw and, dare i say simplistic, singing, Stevens' composition is more emotional and into character; the lower tone and undoubtedly computer made is nonetheless bold and elegant in its form. And the overall meaning of the lyrics are very passionate and intimate to The Beast, it's a masterpiece!

As of the 30th anniversary special, this song is now officially part of the original movie's canon. Now I wonder why Disney hasn't implemented this song into the Broadway musical? Like, imagine if there was a recording of the Broadway musical that had both "If I Can't Love Her" and "Evermore" in the same show, would that deepen The Beast's character even further than the Broadway musical already has?

The musical shut down back in 2007, long before the film came out. But, if it ever were to get a revival, I'd love to see "Evermore" implemented in. It's been revived on the West End in England, but I don't know if "Evermore" is present in that version.

the live disney remake will only become famous if they add new songs to the movie.. as these song will sell itself to the publlic and bring them to watch the movie... it worked for this movie.. i could still recall all the new songs they specially composed ... " if i cant love her.. how does a moment last forever... and FOREVERMORE ...it really impacted all of our well being ..mind ,body and soul...

I got laughed at back when I was living in Camden at the library when I was singing and Some kids was laughing and mocking me and one person posted the video on Facebook and wrote 15 mean comments instead of nice comments about me and I was embarrassed and upset about it no one likes my talent I like to sing a lot while listening to music and singing along and dancing too any positive advice for me about my situation please

I'm really sorry that happened to you! :( The best advice I can give you is to just ignore those people. I got some bad comments when I was younger too (nothing like your situation though). Since years have passed, I've just learned to ignore people who try to bring me down (whether it be as a musician or my style of fashion). Just keep doing what you love to do!

Please note: I like this song, sort of, certainly it is beautifully performed, but it is so musical theatre, and guilty of the trap of just annoucing how the character feels. It does nothing to progress the story beyond a grand proclamation of Beast's love - completely unnecessary. But since I like the song I spent the time to write the parody below to explain my feelings about it. This is the first verse of the song So I’ll recap things just for you I never needed anybody in my life I guess that that will do And now we’re in the second verse I should explain how I have changed In case you did not watch the first two acts I’m clearly not the same Now at last we’re in the chorus I’ll tell you how I feel today Give you a long list of strng emotions Then say “Come what may” Wasting in my lonely tower And other cheesy metaphors Let’s fit in one more stage show trope And use the word “forevermore” Though I have said all that I need Another verse we had to pen This song is going to need some sort of crescendo Another chorus then? So we’re back into the chorus A very slightly different one Explain a little more about my feelings Once more, then we’re done Wasting in my lonely tower I’ll try to subtly clear my throat I’m going to put it under strain Because these songs are all the same They’ll put in just one more refrain And end on a long noooooooooooooooote.
