Laugh but verify! In 1941 Peoria became a production center for penicillin in the U.S. In 1943, a stronger form of penicillin was found on cantaloupe in Peoria! It was called "penicillin chrysogenum", but the "chrysogenum" got left out of the song just like Christ gets left out of the Christmas season and the next thing you know you're criticizing an overworked talk show writer from 10 years ago for not being funny, because they contradict your lived experience. Or maybe I get critical of you for not searching "Peoria and Penicillin" before you commented. Anyway, merry chrysogenum!
