Drake and Josh might have been some of the pioneers for teen actors to get paid more in the future. Miranda Cosgrove was paid $180,000 per episode at the height of iCarly. She also went on to get her degree if acting didn’t work out. Fortunately she’s still a voice actress. Dylan and Cole Sprouse made $20,000 per episode. One is still in television, and the other makes mead.

since most of the acting jobs are in NY and California, 100K doesn't get you that far. To be honest, 100K isn't a lot in many states and cities. Take every major city in the US and 100k will only get you so far. Lets put it this way, a captain in the US military who has only served for fours years, makes more than 100K per year which is a lot of money if you are stationed in the middle of nowhere. No one in the military feels wealthy
@BrokeJawz
@BrokeJawz Жыл бұрын

Everyone under the age of 25 knows who Josh is. It’s crazy he even has to make this argument and not the other one… which is why do these kids not have royalty and investment plans from the first second they sign a contract. It’s all because back in the day their was a whole racket of pleasing the parents like Josh, drake, and Miranda’s. As long as those kids had parental consent they were pretty much property of Nickelodeon

Everyone saying 100k isn’t middle class 🤔. First we’re was the studio located California has federal taxes state taxes and entertainment taxes. Some studios are in Canada so guess what Canadian tax and your paying U.S. taxes plus your agent. You need housing clothing your a minor so who’s accompanying you do you need security. 100k goes quick!!!!

There’s a big difference making 100k as a teen for a few years and what the average teen works through. Josh could have effectively retired by investing most of that. He would have had to only work to survive until that investment matures. He could have come out of the Drake and Josh with a positive net worth? Where as most teenagers have a zero net worth that plunged to negatives to pay for college. He was a millionaire considering he had funds and time on his side.

They should have made more. You work with what? 50-200 kids? He made a show for thousands of kids. Kid actors get screwed in more ways than pay too

Devil Disney made more than a million bucks a year off of your work. That's probably who you're frustrated with.
