My friend passed a few weeks after you did this on jjj. We grew up in Byron Bay, where the Jezebels also live. Your version song reduced me to tears every time, thinking of home and my beautiful friend. Today I'm going back to our beach we used to surf as kids/teenagers for his memorial. I think you released this version on the anniversary of his passing 2 weeks ago. What a beautiful gift as I prepare to go back and visit his family and our friends again, to celebrate his life.
