Danyil is a very tough opponent, though I am surprised that he hasn't shown up at SPTTC at all lately...

@@backup8079 oh shit, that's a good point. I'm too busy trying to guess which serve he's gonna pull out of his bag of serves (pendulum, reverse pendulum, tomahawk, reverse tomahawk) 😂

Unsolicited advice: you serve long / half-long a lot but you don't seem to be ready for how your opponent is receiving the ball. There are probably at least a couple of points a game where your opponent gets to open freely on your service and you're forced into passive game from ball 2. Sometimes you make good blocks which keeps you in the point but getting attacked right off the receive is not where you want to be. Also, there are some points where it looks like you serve long purposefully but you don't get ready in time to play a good 3rd ball attack even when the return is not that strong. Lastly, it feels like you want to block with your forehand on your backhand side and your backhand on your forehand side sometimes. Not sure what's going on there, maybe bad habits from the past. I think you played well overall though considering that your receive wasn't the best but you still managed to fight for a good amount of the points.

Thanks so much for the detailed advice man! You're totally right, I'm serving way too long against someone who can open up directly off my serve (thus putting me in defense the whole time) + I'm too slow to get into third ball attack position when I do plan on attacking 🤦🏻♂ The BH block on FH and vice versa is just a bad habit I need to fix 😅 I struggled a lot with this long side / top serve to my backhand because for some reason, it's hard for me to open up that serve (my BH swing messes up) so definitely need to practice more on serve returns 🤓
