My son’s parents are amazing people who pull me into family photos and check in on me and my elderly parents, whom I care for, keeping me from visiting more often. My son is entirely like me, in the not calling and keeping in touch department, but between his parents and his wife, I am always kept in the family loop. I am grateful for all of them, but especially my beautiful son, who has a support system that I wish I had. They all love him as he deserves. I couldn’t be happier.

I adopted my son in 1999… I was on call in the ER & he had just been born… his birth mother didn’t want him & I had been trying for 7 years to conceive… Less then 42 hours later I brought him home. I was not prepared at all & never imagined Everyone in that hospital gave me something they were all so happy for us. I didn’t buy diapers for 2 years! 25 years later he is the most beautiful, caring and sweetest young man God could’ve sent to me. BTW… 6 years later I gave birth to his little brother. God Always knows what he’s doing ❤

🇿🇦 My son whom i gave away to 2 most beautiful souls,( his adoptive parents), doesn't want anything to do with me. He feels if i didn't want him, then why now? I kept in contact with his mom throughout his life but I have to accept his choice, even tho it's so hurtful. A neighbor, who was like a brother to me, was adopted and he felt the same way. I tried to convince him of all the other possibilities. Ironically, he had a child with my best friend, who kept the baby boy, but was never acknowledged. In the end, he actually had no room to talk. Hurt people, hurt people, it's true. Never did find out his birth parents story.

Beautiful beyond story, sincerely lovely. I was the beloved pastors daughter in a small town, and I did get pregnant shortly after high school. I felt I could not say a thing, no one must know. I felt fear sorrow see I am a grandmother of emptiness shame. I also felt deep love for the child I was carrying. I did not have the baby, I felt a slight sense of relief, at first. Then an emptiness I feel until this day. I married and raised two sons with my husband. They now are fathers, and pastors like my father. I have shared with my sons, as they were older. As they did know there was a sadness in me, they wanted to understand. As they are more precious than I can say. I do feel completely forgiven, and I do so look forward to heaven. As then I can meet her, the dear precious angel of mine. My depression has been great my sorrow long lasting, yet I do know the joy of the Lord is with me and her, and my sons. My dad and mom have passed away now, as you see I am a grandmother of five little angels now. And I do know, my parents with my daughter understanding all now, and nothing but love. Thank you for sharing your lovely story, Joshua. I, too, had a baby when I was 16 and had to place her for adoption. My family was poor, and I didn't want her to suffer or struggle. My heart was broken, and I thought of her every day. Fast forward 24 years later, and I got a chance to speak with her on the phone. She assured me she had a wonderful life, which was the answer to all my prayers. We finally got to actually reconnect in person exactly 27 years to the day that I had to quit school because I was 6 -1/2 months pregnant. God moves in mysterious ways, and she and I continue to be in each other's lives and communicate daily! God is good indeed! 🙏❤️🥰

I love your story. My father is a minister and has helped find his missing aunt and uncles that were adopted out when their alcoholic father abandoned them. He was also instrumental in helping a birth mother locate and reunite with a son she gave up for adoption back when records were sealed. Blessings on your entire family!

Found my birth parents in 2019. 46 years after my birth. Met my birth father at his funeral. I have a wonderful relationship with my birth mother. Found out my birth records were switched with another baby at the orphanage and that I’m 5 days younger than I thought. It was an amazing journey of searching and discovery. A blessing to finally know who I and my children look like and where interest and mannerisms come from. I wouldn’t change my story for all of the money on earth.

Congratulations 🎉. I wasn’t adopted but my mother had an affair and I never knew my bio father. After my mother’s death I found my biological father on ancestry app. He had died 10 years before my mother. So I found I have 2 more brothers. One very nice, sweet man 12 years younger than me, and the other brother is not interested in knowing me. But the connection with my youngest brother filled in a part of my heart that was empty all my life. Know one can know how healing it was to meet him and just look like someone and know all the things he told me is fabulous ❤

Sorry to hear that! I was born into a difficult family and they are my blood, but I do thank God for them. There is so much pain due to the fall of mankind but every morning that I open my eyes I’m reminded of his lovingkindness and grace. And so I extend grace to them. I want to encourage you! Sometimes we often have expectations and ideals about life, be it family, dreams, love, etc and yet they never seem to come together the way we desire. I look back at my childhood and even with the many sorrows I can see God weaving my life story . Would I have known him any other way? @@CoffeeCrazy Thank you for your encouragement. You worded my thoughts so eloquently. My life would look so differently and I would be a completely different person without the experiences I had. Going through them was very difficult and it took a very long time to heal, but I'm so far removed that it doesn't quite feel real. I'm thankful I'm so far beyond it now. Several years ago, I had to return and see people. It was an entire year of nightmares and a fog of dread. I guess I'm not as removed if I have to be faced with it... but I'm glad for the space I have. It has allowed me to build a completely new life. And God is still present. I can see how He has guided and provided.

I commend you for taking on such responsibility. Please do not think that your son would have a "wonderful life". That is a soothing lie moms want to believe when they have no way of caring for their babies. I met an adopted girl her ":wonderful" new parents divorced, shuffled her from state to state, never clearly discussed her being adopted althought she was biracial and they were both white (and this was pointed out by other kids and she had no response for that). I mean, her very highly educated adopted parents were great but her biological parents were as well! As they were still together and had other children but it was too much to keep this one. I lost touch with them I hope she got to meet them eventually. If anyone reading this must give a kid up for adoption PLEASE choose and open adoption so you vwn visit yout kid and you can be touch and they grow up KNOWING YOU!!! MUCH LOVE to all mothers biological and adoptive!

Mom had 4 miscarriage and dad said no more .my biological parents is aunt 4 child brother so my parents divorced and they give to his sister that truly want me. So I had the best parents ever.

I adopted my son out to 2 wonderful people, his parents. They sent me photos every year until he was 18. We keep in touch. I told him very early on that it wasn't that I didn't want him, I did. As a single mother at 19, I just couldn't give him the life that he deserved. Consequently, when he was teased for being adopted, his response to his tormentors was "Well at least I have 2 mommies that love me". Sounds just like me. This is not just a lovely story, but a beautiful one.

I’m a birth mother, stories like this always make me smile. I truly believe God helps birth parents find the best choice for their child when it comes to adoption. I’m close with my son and his parents. He started calling me his Birthday mom when he was about 4 and my boys (his big brothers) think of his parents as their aunt and uncle. We love our family as we chose it and wish more people chose adoption. It really is about the love for the child.

WOW! I cried a few times watching this. Your adoptive parents so mirrors me and my husband so much its uncanny. Your birthparents where better people. They are succeeding so much. My children, are struggling with their birthparents. And now, my daughter has disowned us. When they mentioned the smell of mom, I remember our adopted daughter was with her mom at birth. So much is learned today. My daughter has disowned us and her mom. It's sad. GOD bless you all. GOD teaches us so much through our lives testimonies. My extended family has a long and extensive history of adoption on both sides. It is a picture, a parable, of the love God has for us. After we are adopted by the Father, our heart longs for our parents, our family, our friends to be adopted too. To be with us in eternity. I remember praying for all those 14 years for God to bring a child to our precious friends, however the method, ha We prayed as we saw tiny Joshua in Donna's anxious loving arms! We rejoiced as we saw you in the blanket I joyfully and tenderly crocheted. We loved hearing as you grew that God was creating a loving, brilliant young man, who eventually married ❤ a sweet loving wife. You are a blessing to so many! You give hope to those who wait to find their adoptive parents. To some it means closure. My friend was blessed to have a search angel find his daughter. Afte 33 years he is now at peace knowing she was adopted by two wonderful people and has had a good life. He knew he couldn’t provide that for her, and God found the perfect parents for her. I gave my daughter up for adoption and it was truly God's will because I was 17 on my second child and I knew abortion wasn't an option so I knew adoption was what I chose and at 7 months pregnant I was worried because I hadn't liked any of the parents I had read and I prayed Lord to give me peace and knowingness of right parents, so one day I was going through channels and I stopped in dr Phil (I wasn't a fan) but I only stopped cause I got up to make a sandwich and on the show that day they had 3 couples who wanted to adopt and when the couple walked out I knew those are the people and so I emailed Dr Phil show and out of 500,000 emails they chose me and they flew to TX and a couple weeks later I went into labor and it was to most amazing and magical moment that labor room was filled with so much love and my mom was like we can't do it we have to keep her but I said no cause as much as my heart was hurting there was no way I was gonna hurt them Wow my last son I named him Roman and I just heard your favorite verse

@@joshuachats it certainly is a blessing that both your families are strong in their relationship with God, and that your adopted parents raised you in the faith. Think of the many adoption stories out there that were not so happy and blessed, for whatever reason. I pray that you will all stay close to each other. I recently watched a video of a couple on a talk show with Kelly Clarkson. They had one biological child and three adopted children, black and white, and what was amazing is that they include the biological parents in their family. When referring to the children as "our children", she is referring to themselves and the biological parents. That is a true Christlike couple. I can see that your family is equally blessed with this same Christlike love for all. Did you say that Tripp's name is Helias? I was reading the Apocrypha today and came across this name, very interesting, I wonder where Tripp's parents got the name? I wish our adoption story would have been more like this. But I didn't know the LORD until months after the birth. My daughter did have a much much better life than if I would have kept her, but it wasn't perfect like this story. We met when she was 23. At 40 she only responds to my birthday emails. She has not come to terms with the adoption. But ultimately, she is better for having been raised by Roz than by me. I pray for her. Please add your prayers to mine that she finds the LORD and comes to terms with her life.

My gosh Tripp is a trip! Love his name, I knew a few guys like him in my day as well but I was in high school 10 years earlier. Your birth mom is gorgeous and I imagine they were 'the' couple. You definitely have Tripp's sense of humor and your birth mom's look although she seems to have a great sense of humor too. I laughed so hard when Tripp said 'dad, first son, second son'. He's one of those who never truly grows up but does have depth, just manages an extra share of fun along the way. My family has run the range of this story. I'm glad it worked out so well for you, it dosen't always work out so well for the children. You're adoptive parents are such wonderful people. I have trouble with anything with a religious tone as religion has done massive damage to my family but I'm glad I was able to work past anytime anything religious was mentioned and stick with the story. Life is messy, it will ALWAYS be messy, without the mess there is no lesson, without a lesson, you don't learn, without learning, you don't live, therefore, life is messy.

I am a birthmother who placed her first son for adoption almost 37 yrs ago. I hand-picked his adoptive parents who were pastors in another State and It started out well as a semi-open adoption. I spoke to him 2-3x as he was growing up whenever he needed answers to questions that only his birthmom could provide, and his mom and dad graciously provided this resource to him. But sometime after I got married and had several more children, his mother shifted how she felt about me and I have no idea why to this day. The last time I spoke to him he was 18 years old and it happened by “accident” (God is so kind) Since that time we have not had any contact. I believe that he feels that contacting me would cause his mom to feel betrayed. Please pray with me that the relationship between his both family and adoptive family could be healed and restored. He has 4 younger half- siblings (1 brother and 3 sisters) and would love for the girls to meet him one day. Thank you for this video - what a ministry!!

I'm sure that he would have turned out just fine if he had been raised by his biological parents . In my opinion, adoption should be an absolute last resort, it doesn't matter how wonderful the adoptive parents might be, children belong with their biological parents and families.

This story was sooo good to hear. My story is not about adoption but choosing to keep my child as a single mother. (I was 43 when I had her) I have had the joy of seeing God at work in her life. She is a beautiful young lady. She grew up very poor. I feel guilty about that sometimes but she is thankful for the way she grew up. She understands that the way she grew up helped her become who she is today. She is a very compassionate and understanding person to people from all different walks of life. Romans 8:28 has always been a favorite of mine. God is Good!

I have read about & looked at vlogs about so many children looking for their birth parents or parents looking for the children they gave up for adoption & it normally brings a tear to my eye & other times it was a sad occasion which left all involved disappointed. I was raped at 15 & gave my son up at 16. I was to young to raise a baby. My aunt found out & said she’d help me while I went to school. My stepdad wanted to keep the baby & he said that my mother & him would help. She made a statement that she didn’t want a bastard running around in the house. I made the decision that day to give him up for a better life. She did say let’s go get him before the 6 weeks was up. I told her no. My older sister was with me when I signed the papers in the judges chamber. He’s 55 years old now & I’ve never seen him. I’m 71 now. I just would like him to know the truth about the whole situation. It’ hurts to give one up & it hurts for the child that was given up & trying to understand why.
