As a former employee of Azerbaijan Airlines since it became an independent carrier after disintegration of the Soviet Union I am happy to see how greatly that airline developed. Hats off to managers, pilots and crew members of AA! And the airport is another jewel! Way to go!

Yeah right. They suck. Especially since they are not considered budget airlines they behave like budget airlines. They eyeball your personal item and if they say its too big, u have to pay extra or you cant bring it. There is no sizer or anything. They also checked the weight of my carry on suitcase, which no other airline did. Then they have lots of weird rules while you are on a flight. Overall these airlines gave me the worst flying experience.

@@Liliputik2009 IT IS what Airlines should do and actually, does. If you don't follow the rules, of course you are going to bad mouth them. And Azerbaijan is not budget airline. They have Buta airways as it is Budget airline and branch of Azal.

7:21 Nearly every ANA 787 and JAL 777 I’ve seen have a Bidet in the Loo. But these have been domestic, or flights between Europe, Japan, and US.

Great video as always and can’t wait for the North Korea stuff. Recognized a lot from the airport, like the little book/library cafe corner, really nice to sit there. Visited Baku in Jan 2020 for work and all I can agree is that the people were very lovely and the city, although did not see a lot, was amazing. Spent a lunch at the radiotower with the 360 view restaurant here and it amazing. My agent also took me to two other restaurants, one with great local food and a steakrestaurant. The later you could literally choose the steak like you were a butcher shop, that was a nice experience. Can’t wait to get back there next year or ‘25 for our next project.

they aren’t budget airlines, however they do check the weight of your bags but not the size tbh. if it is really overweight, they will send it under the plane

@@weird_planecrazy_er I just flew these airplanes twice. It seems there are 2 different Azerbaijan airlines tbh. I flew them from Aktau to Baku. Then Baku to Istanbul. Aktau to Baku was a totally different experience then Baku to Istanbul. Those agents at aktau airport denied my son his right to bring his personal item his bag. They made him put it inside his checked suitcase. They allowed me to bring my bag though and they said they were doing me a favor by allowing me to bring my bag. It clearly states on their website they do allow 10 kg suitcase as a carry + a person item. Then when we were changing flights in Baku we took that suitcase out of a checked bag and brought it with us on a board on our flight to Istanbul. Overall these airlines allow less than other airlines. They are more strict with enforcing different kinds of rules on the flights. I would personally advice to avoid these airlines if you have a chance.

@@Liliputik2009 I mean, i only fly internationally with AZAL (LHR-GYD) so its a different experience for me, ive flown with AZAL 30+ times and they never disappoint. Tbh, i can see where you are coming from but i would recommend staring at what you are going to put into your suitcase and cut the amount by half or 1/3. Will you really need 15 shirts for that vacation? Or 5 trousers? Doing this method can help eliminate the worry of them not allowing the baggage onboard. I recommend watching the video from Heathrow Airport called “How to pack like a pro”

Always great fun to reconnect with travel mates! I'm sure you had a hilarious time with him and your ex-wife. I also have to admit I barked out laughing when you mentioned being assured of a clean butthole when you fly Azerbaijan Airlines...though I'm in a public place and people stared at me. But that is a unique feature for a Y loo! If you can adjust the temperature (warm, of course) like you can in Japan, you almost could just sit there all day reading all the books that have been piling up (or watching your collection of videos)...like a variation of sitting in a whirlpool:)
