I was in a bar in Florida and they had an empty piano sitting there. In walked a very large Russian guy speaking broken English and he asked the bartender if he could play the piano. He started playing popular show tunes and no one was really paying attention to him . He seen me looking at him and he said to me what would you like to hear and I said I'm sure you don't know the music that I like and he replied try me. I said Pink Floyd. He started with Comfortably Numb and played about 10 songs by Floyd before he left. I asked the bartender who he was and he said I have no idea I've never seen him before. It was great almost like a ghost walked in ( kidding ) played Pink Floyd and then disappeared. It was an interesting night that I enjoyed immensely.

This channel is my comforting place where I go when life hits too hard. I spent months listening your Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Radiohead a Bowie covers when my brother passed away. Two years later my father passed away too and I am back here… because your music carries me thru the worst feelings of grief and loneliness. My heart is broken from being so sad and miserable. When I reach the point where I feel like I cant take it anymore I just go here and cry and cry for many hours while listening. Music heals my soul. Especially these songs because they are my, brother’s and father’s favorite. I could never express how thankful I am for sharing your work. It really means a lot. Thank you.

You most likely won't see this after all these years, but I have to say, this is amazing. Most covers of songs with singing usually end up being: chords with left hand, singing melody played note-by-note with right hand. You on the other hand (pun unintended) implemented both, and more, perfectly, it doesn't sound sloppy at all. And you also paid attention to getting the reverbs right. I have no idea about music theory and such but if this isn't great musicianship, I don't know what is. Perfect arrangement. Sounded a lot like the original song, but of course with a different flavour. Like an original piano piece.

There is no pain you are receding A distant ship's smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move But I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like Two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain You would not understand This is not how I am I... Have become comfortably numb O. K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more aaaaaaaah! But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? I do believe it's working Good That'll keep you going through the show Come on It's time to go There is no pain you are receding A distant ship's smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move But I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone I... This is beautiful, perhaps one of the best piano pieces that I've heard on one of my favorite songs of all time. The one thing that I dislike is that the whole thing is in a major key.
