"Success is not so much about talent or skill but setting your sights on a very specific desire. If you can be specific on what you want, it's like the universe will align to give it to you. Just dial it in, focus on it, and it'll happen." Great quote Josh! I will remember it!

Im saving this quote for life.
@Ashelirria Жыл бұрын
This quote is more of an insult to people who work hard and don't make it. It's drenched in survivorship bias, when you have 1000 making it while the rest in what would be 100 million people don't. Life isn't a fairy tale or a movie, we don't live in a perfect world, and there are those who tried their hardest and didn't make it. These "motivational" quotes only serve to lie to people.

I remember when I was in middle school, I imagined that I was going to go to Harvard or Yale and become a millionaire computer programmer or entrepreneur. Now as high school is coming to an end, I'm probably gonna go to some local university or community college. I guess that's just life.
@Krispymanbligity7 жыл бұрын
You can do all that without a degree dumbass
@MaiLilSpace7 жыл бұрын
Harvard and Yale is not the only road to success. A degree doesn't define who you are either, only you get to do that. Remember that what you focus on grows, and you'll be off to a good start my friend.

The universe does not care about you. That advice works because when you have a goal, you basically create a filter in which everything you experience passes through. This means you are more likely to see the opportunities that arise which will help you get towards your goal. Opportunity is plentiful. However, the universe does not care about you.

Is more impressive to go to Harvard as your first university.
@ryanyoung8557 жыл бұрын
na not really, probably the opposite. If you went to a crap one then turned you life around. employers will likely prefer that guy
@HH-xs2gm7 жыл бұрын
It would be the opposite, those that went into Harvard first is more likely since because he had a lower tier university in his history, it stained it all. People want to seek talent, not if you can study for 10 years then go to Harvard.
@ryanyoung8557 жыл бұрын
HH HH you dont have to eb talented to go to harvard, just have to work and study a whole lot. talent come naturally.
@HH-xs2gm7 жыл бұрын
Talent does not naturally come. People want to believe talent is hard-work, but only part of that is true.

There's so much truth to what he says about working towards a specific goal. Trying to achieve and be good at everything will waste valuable time and cause stress (for me at least!). If you're mindful about how you spend your time and resources, it will definitely help you a lot in achieving your desires

Hey Josh! First of all, what a nice video!!! I know it's been a while since this video and I am not sure if you will see this comment now. I just wanna tell you that I sincerely wish you the best, and I can't help feeling your joy and excitement while I am watching your video! I am currently a junior at Central Washington University, and I really wanna get my ALM. Digital Media Design degree at Harvard Extension. Just like you used to, I also hope that I can go to Harvard to study one day. However, I am an international student. I am now completing my undergraduate degree in the US with my F-1 student visa. I really want to move to Boston to study like you, because I would like to take more on-campus courses and meet amazing people on Harvard campus. But I feel that the identity of my international students makes everything limited. If I want to move to Boston, then I have to find an internship in the Boston area after graduation in order to stay in the US. If I can't find an internship in Boston, I can only go back to my own country and take all the courses online, and it will be tough for me to come back again to make the on-campus requirement due to I would have to get a new visa. Or, if I find an intern in other cities in the US, I will have to take almost all courses online too. So sometimes I feel that everything is too complicated for me. I want to go to HES, but I extremely don't want just take almost all courses online, because I feel like only take online class has lost the real meaning of studying at Harvard for me. I wish I could study on campus like you, but sometimes I understand that I shouldn't ask for too much. It's already excellent luck for me to stay in the United States. However, I really want to be like you. I wish one day I could go for a walk on Harvard campus after a class, and could spend my graduate time in the best institution of the world at my own pace. I am sorry. I understand that my trivia is really long and tedious. But I hope to hear your advice. Anything you say will be a big help to me. Also, My undergrad major is IT management, but my undergraduate college rankings are average and I don't have too much work experience. Do you think I might find any jobs in the Boston area? Regardless of the salary. Thank you so much. I hope to hear back, and wish the best to you. Best, Hannah

@jesusiscoollike7 жыл бұрын
Universities are all the same. Some just have a better reputation so they become more desirable, when they are desired by a lot of people they get to pick the hardest working students so it becomes this cycle. They don't produce good students in Harvard or Yale, they accept good students.
