Now it needs an alternator, power steering pump, headers OR manifolds, quadrajet carb, or edlebrock. Throttle linkage, fuel lines and vacuum lines and it will be accurate, atleast after you paint the block Corporate blue

I wish rc4wd made more option parts for the v-8 , like a cluch fan and a starter.

like what your doing buddy. building all the rat rod frames from scratch is very skillful. can't wait to get me a k10 blazer body and start building a project. those are my favorite truck.

there is a link on the rc4wd page for the pulley kit the shows how someone moved the servo mount to the bumper mount space on the very front of chassis

I found headers for my RC4WD V8. They are plastic and white but work great! You just have to paint them.

Since this video came out there are several versions out there. I worked with RC4wd to design these for it as well. www.shapeways.com/product/VBQEL9DK6/rc4wd-v8-zoomie-headers-right-side?optionId=70393215

You might want to look into a low profile servo since you plan to change yours anyway. They are quite a bit shorter, but not sure about torque.
@RCeveryday
@RCeveryday 8 жыл бұрын
+Alpha Male Ive been looking at them for some time, the most torque I have found is around 150oz. Not sure that will be enough.

It needs a couple more pulleys, and an alternator and AC pump to make it look correct.You are right why there were no headers made at the same time as the motor Is crazy, I have seen a few 3D printed sets of headers not that nice, the best have been home made out of rod or tubing.

Fantastic work. I have some great ideas from your vidz. I'm making a set of header for my set up. I'm sure you could make some too. The copper is fairly inexpensive.

Quick question, We just ran the first hour on our C2x Do those axles need to be Shinde hey seem Kinda loose may be a quarter inch play moving the truck back and forward or forward and back lol thank you! ……
@RCeveryday

These do have a little slop in them, but I havent shimmed mine. These axles are definitely looser than my metal rc4wd ones. Let me know if you do, Id be curious where it needs shimmed. Thanks!

Thank you for a nice informative build video as always! Your Blazer is coming together really nice, and looks time, thanks to the realistic weathering you do so well. About the steering servo clearing problem: Can you move the steering servo forward, away from the engine, by using washers as spacers between the servo mount and the servo, if it is space for it between the servo and grille of course. 42$ for the pulley system, for that price they should include a radiator fan too at least, if not also a radiator! What will they charge for the exhaust manifolds if they offer that in the future. Have you thought about adding light and sound to your Blazer? If it is a problem to find space for the ESC, maybe a light and sound module can be placed in the back, behind the seats, concealed as boxes and things you bring along for a weekend at the cabin? Tamiya has the MFC-03, I have that one on my Tundra High Lift, and Servonaut also have light and sound modules, and other brands, I will see what I can fit on my Blazer. Cheers.

+Nordmann61 The only problem is the servo is all the way agains the inside of the front bumper already. I need a low profile servo but havent located one with high enough torque yet as they are all for drift cars. Then it will be easy to space it back a little. I have never had a MFCu before even on my semi trucks. That would be very cool.

there are many manufacturers that do not include instruction, how hard would it be for them to put them up on their site? and toss a little strip of paper in the bag with the parts with the link printed on it. it's not rocket science but some men do like instructions lol

do they make a set of headers for that? thats always one of the coolest things with a big truck, seeing the pipes up in the wheel wells.

+NvFocus Antoni Vatera has that mid 80s f150. Just wish they were a hard body. Id love to see an early 60s ford truck body. Maybe a stepside bed on something. Would be cool to have removable rear fenders.

Josh I want a new project. I want to build a class 1 scale rig. do you think the d90 truck, land cruiser, or the k5 would be a better performer. already have a yota. thanks
@RCeveryday
@RCeveryday 8 жыл бұрын
+Mike Winans Id say the cruiser for a class 1 rig. Its very capable right out of the box and can still tuck a massive tire like mine has and be class 1 legal. Plus you get a complete full floor interior you can stack on the scale points with adding a driver and accessories.

@RCeveryday 8 жыл бұрын
+paulmcnamara16 Well, Im honored to be considered at his level but he makes my rigs look mediocre. lol My main focus is on the engineering side of the suspension and chassis, the scale stuff I can do is just out of luck. His focus is scale all the way. And he is quite good.

@RCeveryday

As far as I know no one makes a functional v8 this size. The only running scale v8 I've seen is 1/4 scale and cost around $7000.
