Just a little tip for the future (when you don't have thousands of levels), it's more efficient to combine enchanted books together before applying them to a piece of equipment. Helps save some levels, especially when you don't have too many.

btw the reason that it kept exploding is because it spawns blazes and mutant blazes which the mutant ones explode upon death so there was nothing you could do to stop the explosion but you found a solution anyway good job :)

Okay. Tipp: For xp: Enchant a pickaxe with indestructable, excavating (not excavated because you can disable excavating by sneaking - you cant with the other one) and then any level from Experience boost and efficiency (higher level than 5 recommended) and i also would recommend reach at any level and block reach on your chestplate. That + any XP attracting bauble like the Magnets can give you SOOO many XP in no time. Next: to see dragons corpses you often have to relog into the game. It's buggy. The other thing was already mentioned in the comments but again: Craft books together before applying them. It counts as one anvil use for the item if you do so but if you put on every single one after each other EACH of the books add 1 Anvil use which will make the XP Costs 100 levels+ easily Btw: if you dont have excavating use vein miner on normal stone with the pickaxe but watch out for your hunger. Maybe get an Gobber helmet which auto feeds you Another tipp: Anvil pet is extremly op. Craft it, spawn it and give it some iron nuggets and it will completly repair your 1 durability items to full
