One thing to focus on is establishing a good FOUNDATION for your 3D models... but how do we do it?

One thing I like doing is taking a free human model and bringing it in as a scale comparison

7:20 --> If this is a trigger, shouldn't been a gap between this and the body? Usually the triggers goes inside the handle... So why did you bevel the area around the trigger?

Right! I think that Josh took a very bad example to explain this. A pistol trigger is a movable object and should not be fixed to the pistol grip. Next time he should think about what he wants to do before he starts. That's what the Blender Bros always preach. Think first and then start modeling.

Yeah, it actually looked fine before the fusion. After the bevel it looked terrible. This man has gone mad with beveling.

Don't get so caught up in the actual items he's modeling, but more the philosophy behind putting shapes together. (at least for this little tut.)

Don't waste your time with these guys. They give you terrible advice to sell their addons. If you do pay for their stuff they spam you with emails multiple times a day. If you unsubscribe from their emails they will delete your paid account.

Exactly, every KZbinr who knows something a bit more is already trying to trick you into buying some plugins without which you won't achieve your goal. It's the same in every industry, I've already experienced this several times. Intrusive emails and a tone that suggests when will you buy it? I see, nothing has changed in this sick YT. Photos with your family, we care about your development, etc. Horseshit - just buy my product. But children are in heaven and believe in this nonsense and few people have the courage to write the truth. And if you write the truth to YT kids, they want to fuck you up. True strory bro.

I am Modeling in 3D since 2015, just as Hobbyist, but I whish I had all your fantastic courses and hints at the beginning. I started with Lightwave 3D, but now I use only Blender…thx a lot!

I recently made like 25 swords and never joined the blade with the guard and the hilt. (3-4 separate parts) Is that generally a problem? Can you keep objects separate or do you always have to join them and bevel the seams?
