This song helped me so much before I had to go in for open heart surgery, ended up needing a quad by-pass. I listened to it over and over again, cried every time, including listening to it as I was knocked out. Woke up to it playing in my room, being played by my partner. Still has the power to make me cry. Its been 4 months now since the surgery and I'm still being "Brave".

That's awesome how are you doing after your heart surgery are you alright. Next time I have surgery I'm going to add this song to my list of things to do the night before next surgery will probably be on my left ear the ear drum is ruptured and isn't working right now I got a hole now in that ear drum so that'll have to be fixed I'm nervous but I'm prepared for if and or when that day comes to go in for surgery. Music is a great way to calm your mind down im glad you were able to find some comfort listening to this

I heard this song the exact moment I needed it. I woke up in ICU just had both shoulders replaced with steel rods. 2 casts for a month, physical therapy for a year. I didn’t have much help. When you don’t have functioning shoulders you also have little use of your arms. Had to be fed, bathed and dressed. I couldn’t cook for myself so I lost 50 lbs. within 6. Couldn’t brush my teeth or hair for 6 months. Anyway I’d woken up after surgery and brought me a CD. She said Your favorite singer yet wrote a song for you!” It’s been playing in my earphones, car? Cd player for years. It even became a hit at my Physical therapists clinic. She bought the CD immediately! So thank you Josh for “writing me song” that helped me heal, get my like back again and mostly return my ability to feel joy again! Te amo!❤

Well know my church leaders have said unless your registered you can't volunteer, sadly registration has closed, there not letting anyone in. My siblings can't even come. My parents are going to be there, but alot of my friends because they didn't register and even when I asked them they backed out on me, even after saying yes. I'm heartbroken, I'm trying to be brave but I feel like crying, this is not how I imagined my prom night to be , nor is it what I wanted. I could use a hug right about know.

My brother comnitted suicide 7 months prior. Him and I were very close. None of us saw it coming. It was heart- wrenching. The words you wanna runaway Run away and you say it can't be so. you wanna Look away look away but you stay because it's all so close " Described exactly What I was feeling. The disbelief that he was gone. That he was so miserable that suicide seemed reasonable. But I couldn't Run from it. not from the pain. Not from reality. Not from the bond that couldn't deny him.. It was nothing short of Braverly to push past that. my husband held me, supported me,he let me fall apart then helped me up, prayed with me and for me. He reminded of scriptures that showed God cared and the hope I could see him again. He gave me the strength to be brave and face all the things that were so unbelievably painful. My brother was his best friend. His bravery gave me bravery. I could connect to this song. It gave voice to my struggle. The power in his voice helped gave me grit to rise and move forward. Thank You, Josh.

Just recently my sister-in-law was diagnosed with a rare cancer after having a baby and I had to find the strength to be positive and brave. Sometimes you run up against a wall of discouragement but we Must carry on and look to the Lord for encouragement and well as listening to encouraging music... Wish I knew you were going to be in KCMO (StarLight Theater) in August 2018. I have always loved your voice. But the song "Granted" took me over the TOP!!! I believe the words ring no truer than in today's society! Keep it up! Wish you would go Gospel or more into songs that are so much needed in our society today. I would love to hear you sing on K-Love!!!! I have written them about you and the song "Granted". My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's a yr ago (after 40 yrs of marriage), adopting two beautiful girls that have made us recent grandparents. We became foster parents because we could not have our own children. We wound up fostering 75 kids from all walks of life. To see the kids even just learn to tie their shoes or decorate their own birthday cake for the first time or see present under a Christmas tree is so amazing! We had to downsize and I have lost my love for things. But hearing your music makes me smile and cry at the same times.! Thank you and hope to see and even maybe meet you one day.
