I attended Pune court hearing atleast 8 to 10 times with my friend as I am living 10 minutes away from court premises. In one incident, these four culprits were sitting just behind us on wooden bench (within cage). The distance is just 5 to 6 feet. I remember fully, when I repeatedly looking backwards towards them, one of them (probably sutar) get angry and by eye gesture ask me to look forward.

I have read and studied this case quite extensively, few details are missing 1) Before killing Abhyankar family, they had made 2 unsuccessful attempts of murder, one of bafna family as mentioned in the video, another attempt was made in kolhapur with Kashid family which was unsuccessful as family head had became suspicious of their motive. 2) In the 10th murder , their original plan was to kill the elder brother Jayant Gokhale as he was friend with jakkal, and was a collection agent at Alka talkies theatre. However at that time jayant Gokhale was not present near the theatre and instead he had sent his younger brother Anil to do the work. So out desperation they had to kill Anil instead. Then they went to his house twice the same night to kill jayant and their father in disguise of an enquiry regarding Whereabouts of Anil . But were Saved due to Presence of their Pet dog who used to start barking continually looking at them. 3) Jakkal was big fan of English novels as well as English and Hindi movies . It is said that plan to kidnap and kill prakash Hegde was inspired by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu singh starrer 'Khel khel mein' , while their execution or Modus operandi was based on 1971 Hollywood movie 'A clock work orange' . There are few other details too , will discuss later.

Yashomati Bafana is my grandmother. The story you’ve presented is brilliant, but discounts a lot of things that my grandmother experienced. My father’s mama and a servant were in the house, not employees. The murders ran away from the house because my fathers mama shouted out loud for help and people from the adjoining Petrol pump ran in and almost caught them. My grandmother was the only eye witness in the case and was called to identify the murders. There are several other facts that were missed out. But overall a great summary of the case. I recall my grandmother re telling this terrible episode in her life. Pune was in absolute shock for over 2 years.

These four convicts were almost caught by police and sent to Deccan Gymkhana police station, when they were doing a reiki near one of the houses on bhandarkar road , they even had nylon ropes and perfume bottles in bag . During questioning they said that they had came to study in one of the friends house situated nearby . Jakkals father was called in police station too. He said the same thing as he was unaware about their motives . Jakkal quickly threw the ropes and scent bottles near police primises so they were not caught . Later on he came back and collected the same . If police could have caught them , Anil Gokhale would have been alive today.

To me, serial killers are the most coward human being. They only attack from the back and only target who are weak and attack only who are unable to fight back against them. Remember they run away when Yoshimati servants fights back. When they see a fight back they always runs away. All ways keep a steel rod with you, they are much better for protection than a knite or a chopper. A knife or a chopper is only few inches long but a rod, you can keep 4/5 geet and it is much better when fighting against a knife or a chopper.
