It's a good idea to remove the fill plug first, in case you can't get it loose you don't want all the ATF out and not be able to get new ATF in

You've mentioned in other videos Always take fill out first but this one i didn't notice it. Side note for common folk ALWAYS take the fill port out first... ALWAYS. because if you can't get it out and let the fluid out now your boned. At least if drain wont come out and fill did you can fill & siphon. Also those pumps and bottle pumps are bane of existence, you can take a small pump sprayer from homedepot and fill it with the atf+4 and make your life 100x easier.

True you should definitely take the fill plug out first. I’ll look into that sprayer 👍🏼

So how many miles was on your fluid in this vid? My fill plug was stripped and I took it to the dealer to get it extracted and had them change the fluid. I got a wild hair and decided to swap out the fluid with Red Line C+ (ATF +4 compatible) and the fluid that came out was syrup brown. NOT the cherry red you would expect for having less than 2k miles on it. Mine was about 2 quarts to fill. I just filled it up until it wept out of the hole as I normally do.

If you're going to trade the jeep for a newer jeep srt, you can always do a 17 facelift conversion for around 2500. They sell the kit online and it comes with all genuine jeep parts. Couple of people have done it and it looks great. No need to get yourself in debt again for a vehicle that Is 95% identical to what you already have. Otherwise, I would go with a trackhawk.

I took my Jeep into the dealership to flush my fluid for the first time, was later told they couldn’t because the fill bolt was stripped.
