the 22" ride being used as a crash does not sound good.

anto d what would you use instead? By the way, this is raw audio from a GoPro, which is why it is a bit distorted (it's a loud cymbal and closest to the camera). The actual mix in my ears and the house was a clean sound.

anto d I've used the exact same ride as a crash and it actually works really well with the 24 inch ride IMO. You'd have to listen to it with your own ears rather than through a crappy GoPro mic to actual hear its true sound.
