Just heard this message today in Church, and Lord prompted that i have been, in years past, like Achin... I missed the mark and operated in a manner that was not edifying to the Lord, bringing Him Glory and honour, but inflated myself. I took some of those accused things (the spoils) and I need to free myself of those things...Gotta give it back to the Lord, and be done with that life... Ive Loved the Lord, been born again for quite some time, but be mindful of what you see... Or else you'll Covet, then take, of a way that is not Gods way... To God be the Glory Alone!!

no it was because joshua said to take only the gold and silver when they raid jericho and burn everything else since it was accursed but achan took it and thus made the israelites weak in the face of their enemies

And it makes sense that 'spiritually dead' people worshiped the 'wrong gods' and yet things there were still consecrated or set aside? What even was this so powerful thing? And what made this more urgent to resolve than Christian endorsed slave trading, from assorted sects, or the Inquisition? Otherwise, yes, I'm glad it makes, sense.
