Kw didn’t say that. He said said that in his mind, they would have got divorced but would have found their way back to each other again because they were meant to be. That was pretty much already what happened in the show, so his outlook kind of lacked imagination. Pacey and Joey wouldn’t have got divorced. Them getting back together was due to them working through the issues that kept them apart. The common factor was their fears. That was the only real issue for them.
