I was thinking the same exact thing. I've always known that Joshua was extremely intelligent, but I never got a chance to see him interact with an equally intelligent person on such an intellectual level. Shad did an excellent job asking very sophisticated questions - I wish more interviewers were like him.

Loved him in the affair.. love his emotional intelligence. Personality, morals and values.. Just pure love.. If this world had more people like JJ we would live in a far more happier world.. Thank you for your inspiration and for everything you are JJ.. God Bless you 🙏🏽❤️🙌🏾

What a sophisticated, educated conversation between two grown men on some very difficult topics...Excellent interview ! Love Joshua Jackson...and Love the Affair. I wish I could've seen him in season 5. It is so refreshing to see a man want to grow and learn to the depth that he has... I could only wish most men would aspire to do this development in themselves.Shad was excellent and has great understanding and in depth questions.

This really makes me wonder how much I love Pacey (Dawson's Creek), Peter (Fringe) and Cole (The Affair) because of how the actual characters are written... or if it's mainly because Joshua is so damn lovable and has such charisma. What a cool dude.

What people fail to realize is that marriage is a commitment and should reflect the highest form of trust. It is about forming a family. It is a journey that will change with time. I've been married for 23 years, and I've always put my wife and son first. The secret to a successful marriage is to put the other first, not yourself. Noah and Alison are very sad characters who use their disappointments and personal problems to justify an affair without thought of the destructive consequences. How can they be in love? Their whole affair is based on shared sorrow and physical attraction. You love someone for just those reasons, not for their character and who they are as a person? It is a doomed relationship just as all affairs are doomed. The truly sad thing is the destruction and sadness children face as a result of an affair and when the spouse chooses to leave for his or her illicit lover. Before someone engages in an affair, they really need to think about the pain their family will face. If that doesn't stop him or her from having an affair, then he or she is hopeless!

Watching this 4 years on .. and after binge watching the affair I can only say that maybe we have gotten things backward ..we now have sex for compensation of everything , rather than recognizing it to be the beautiful experience it is ..and with that we lost the values in love, respect for each other and most importantly the ability to physically and mentally connect to an individual who overtime becomes the center of your universe ..that's what we crave for as humans ..and it's when we cant appreciate that we begin to doubt the love we have firstly for us and then for those around us ..joshua you are an amazing person and an actor . You shine as always !!

Great interview ! I loved this show; it’s so deep & thought provoking. I love observing the details of the character’s personalities & personal perspectives ! I loved the dynamics of it; in some ways I love how it shows how people can grow over time ; Noah nailed it when he told Colin that the whole family was bat shit crazy & brutal with each other, but that when the shit hits the fan, we show up . Helen & Noah , over time, grow individually, and grow together & are closer than ever toward the end. And that depth may not have occurred if Noah hadn’t had the Affair. I think they both became better people because of it. I loved the casting in this show too! One example, Vic and sierra’s baby , the adult Eddy, was casted great! The details in his character subtly shows the aspects/individuality of both Vik & Sierra; it is amazing if you really look. And how similar he is to Vic, even tho he never knew Vic, you can see Vic in Eddy. And see Sierra’s mannerisms too. At the end of the day, no one person, or no one couple’s experiences are the exactly the same. This show really showcases this fact really well.

I think he is way hotter than Noah. However, it takes a lot of talent to pull off Cole's character. As far as all of the pain and loss he had to endure. Wether he is in character or not, he is so smart and he is very eloquently spoken. I feel bad he was single again after ten years.
