Kkk it’s not Ollah’s fault. In this interview Maponga actually test to see if Ollah is well versed with the bible and noticed the the interviewer is not well versed. The question about Herod and John the Baptist is where Ollah is being evaluated. Maponga is a philosopher. You need to think thrice with all his responses. Yes there is wisdom in this man, it takes a wise ear to understand and comprehend.

What a great podcast, enough respect to Mudhara Joshua Maponga. He always challenge my assumptions with thoughtful questions which pushes me to critically examine my beliefs and allows me to view the world differently. I just need clarity regarding the issue of John the Baptist that he was saying it's not adding up, isn't it that John the Baptist was executed by Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee and Perea, who was one of the sons of Herod the Great. The account of his death is found in the Gospels of Matthew (14:1-12), Mark (6:14-29), and briefly in Luke (9:7-9). And of which when the angel appeared to Joseph and told him that Herod has died, he can now return to Israel, he was referring to Herod the great, who was in power during the period of Jesus refugee in Egypt, not Herod the Antipas who killed John the Baptist. I am not sure, but in this regard, I think Herod Antipas and Herod the Great were two distinct figures from the Herodian dynasty.
