I think GVM needs a break; in solitude, revisiting the movies he loved and got inspired, become a student again. And then, try and get basic emotions right on papers and then comeback when he has something solid on a bound script (Again, A movie which is something indie and with a budget only a first-time filmmaker would get). As painful as it sounds for a veteran filmmaker, I think this is what he needs. Just an opinion.

Sadly, the poetry is missing.... That one line sums up everything about this movie. VTV was the last movie where we saw GVM's magic. He is still missing though.

Gvm's long standing debt due to ondraga productions led to him making quick movies and new acting career..he is indebt to vels for movie releases but there is a diff when vetri makes soori a great actor gvm could have pulled it off with varun..if he makes better scripts...gvm way of film school is loosing its essence..ppl are moving towards more art based commercial films segment gvm is under writer's block ig man as to go back or collab with better writers put his touch but don't make another vendhu thanindhadhu kaadu...i want ennai yarindhal style gvm or varnam aayiram gvm should collab with surya or simbu with a good script to bounce back not his usuals..his usuals have become cults..he needs new..at the end of the day all a movie lover wants is a good film!

One thing i need to say gvm opting to karthik as a md is a bad move. He is known for one tremendous single at the first and that song become a selling point for the movie. But here sadly music not worked.

GVM is not a trustworthy person. He will try to do good movies only with stars.If not he will take things for granted. Even DN is not relased. He should have worked more on joshua just to deliver an effective movie which could have easily saved DN. But he consider doing this movie just for the sake of it. That's the difference between a good(vetrimaran doing movies with attakathi dinesh and soori and deliver masterpieces) and bad (GVM with a great producer like ishari ganesh making a upma movie just for completing the contract)filmmaker.

Actually not bad as it was thought to be... quite few irritating things of GVM like hero voice over, unnecessary poetism, songa at unnecessary places were good not To be seen in this movie... a guess able thriller but movie run 70% like HARI movie fast unlike GVM slow paced which is good...story could have been made little better and screenplay is average .acting asusual is average because of average actors in the movie...no over the top heroism but something is missing when u finishing seeing this movie..not a great watch but not boring watch also.. can see once.

sry my dear friend, I also watched some of BR interviews in this channel (galatta plus).. So it is a very genuine question of a real Cinema (in this case Tamil cinema) lover, I need to connect his view better in Tamil language.. Tamil movie emotions and its idea can be easily connected if he convey his thoughts in tamil.. Once again I need to ask this question "who needs English review for a Tamil movie" or "is that review for the movie Joshua - multi linguistic movie"
