Thank you for this video. I had open hear ASD repaired in 2020 as an adult. I watched all your videos before the surgery and it helped ease my fears. Thankfully I am now three years post surgery with no complications.

Take my word for it young man, having it done in your 50's a lot of damage has already occurred. I've been in atrilfibulation since my surgery. Mine couldn't be done through the groin artery, so they opened my chest and cut into my heart. I'll be on blood thinners the rest of my life. I pray yours goes well and no afib.

Thank you for sharing this I'm currently finding out I have ASD I have a huge Hole in my atrial almost missing my whole upper wall dividing the chambers. I'm very happy to see this and can further follow up on your videos to see how everything somewhat goes.

Hi Joshua,how are you doing Have Sam e proble and am being scheduled for my surgery Have so and about before and after,home is the recovery process,did u return to yr normal routine !

May I ask if the surgery solved the problem for you. I had the same procedure 15 years ago and have been in a fib ever since. I've been on blood thinners ever since. The patch in my heart did take the pressure off my pulmonary artery which had stretched to its limit due to the heart defect.
