Hi Joshua, thanks for uploading such an informative and relevant video. This is a great reference video to have in an animator’s arsenal to make the right kind of model sheet for their projects. I would just like to add one thing to what you have said here. In my short films- I have a habit of listing all the important poses in the shots and/or scenes, their character expressions and body language, and adding it to my character sheet. Because more often than not we might end up using just those poses.

Straight to the point, easy to understand and gives me a clearer idea of how a model sheet should look like. Thank you so much for the video. Quick question. I see that most of the poses are not full-body in the model sheet you have drawn for Senara. One of my teachers in animation class strictly instructed us that we should normally limit halfway poses in the model sheets and focus only on full-body poses. What are your thoughts on this? Any advice or commentary?
@joshuaadeoye9 ай бұрын
Thanks so much!!! ✨✨✨ It largely depends on what the model sheet is for. For a lot of projects, you’ll need to make multiple model sheets. Some will show just faces, some will show poses, and others will even focus on construction or specific angles. Here I made a blend between a few kinds. You just need to ask yourself what you’re making the model sheet for and decide which works . Hope I helped!✨✨✨✨
