That $224k is the revenue that was created from that video and the creators get paid a commission on that $224k. In your example their commission is 27.5% of $224k which means the affiliate made $61,787 not $224k but $61,787 is still a hell of a lot of $ for one video regardless.

This is misleading, because you cannot do this with a new account. In addition to the steps you mentioned, you need to have 5,000 followers. Once you have 5k followers, you need to apply to become an 'affiliate' in order to have access to the TikTok shop, and be able to sell/promote. a few things here, creating a TikTok shop account including account review can take days (well the review process anyway). Also don't expect to use these editing tools extensively unless you pay subscriptions (even then some are pretty limited). So you can expect upfront costs. Just keeping it honest.

Heres the issue 1st hand and true. 1, tiktok can track AI created images as of now and know it's not organic. 2 To use tiktok to promote affiliate links or products, you MUST have the product in hand organically and promote the product with visual engagement. Hence, no AI videos may work but can get you suspended in the long run. Almost all AI videos will not be allowed on the FYP of TT. So, to summarize, do it right, just review the product with an organic video with the product in hand, dont use hashtags that are over 1 million views / used and last but not least dont buy views from 3rd party companies, grow your nitch with you and keep grindind no more then 2 videos a day.

Would love you to talk about the importance of choosing your shop name; and if u are sticking with one type of product making sure the name is somewhat future proof in terms of alignment with the kinds of products you plan to sell. Also I’m seeing a lot of videos talking about getting denied or penalties on TikTok for making false claims, 3 warnings and you loose your account, which is a big deal esp if you’re linking your id/identity to the account, you could easily screw yourself very early on just through lack of knowledge of what’s allowed….

The $224,628 earnings per month is the sales revenue generated and a creator earns a commission (my guess 10-12% max). Then on top of that, there is tax to pay in your local country. Based on a 10% commission earnings are around £17,000/month after dollar to pound conversion and tax. Still excellent income!

Something they don't say is that your new seller account is under probation period that restricts affliate actions with regard to commissions. And the market place icon will not show.

I received the same error message with no luck from tech support. However, as I dug deeper it appears that the TikTok account needs to have 5000 followers. If that's correct, then I have no hope of doing this affiliate marketing method. If you find out something that works though, please update us, and good luck!

After the first email I checked and still got the same error message so I will try again later today to check. Not holding my breath.

Not sure how that’s possible when all I did was create the account and try to set up the shop 🤷🏼‍♂️ oh well. Guess this one isn’t for me

I'm not saying he's lying but he SOLD $104 product, he only made $19 in commission if you pause video, which is to the right of $104 sales. But, that doesn't really add up, that 15day cleanse is over $70 & he said he sold 5, that SHOULD be $350 BUT $19 was listed as estimated commission & $19 x 5 is $95, idk, wish he'd explained this lil more in detail, definitely shows price of product on left, est. commission to right & 3rd row to right & didn't really pay attention, id be willing to try, I've not tried to start project yet & not sure if he's claiming $100 in 12hrs or $19 in commission BUT even if it was $19 in commission, EVERYONES not going to strike GOLD but like guy who got 6m views, it's possible, strangely thought he was sellin creatine which you can buy at grocery store, cvs/Walgreens, healthfood store, Amazon, not hard product to find, maybe video truly inspired ppl into buying & will customers order again from the same tik tok video add or will they just buy locally, online somewhere else but KUDOS to him for making large amount of money w/minimal effort

Wait a minute, how are you selling the product without owning it? I’m confused on that bit you pinked the product but are you selling the product or just getting paid for your ad? Selling your product dont you have to own and ship it or you can just go to the marketplace and pick whatever product you wanna sell?
