Yes.. I thought that too. But I think that it took them this long to try and pair her up with someone they thought would be at least close to Penelope who I thought was perfect for her and still do. Langdon is not a good match we know because it was awkward and almost forced. Penelope was a hard one to replace. So of Couse they had to make up a separate origin story of Josie's first love that could be the one who is really meant for her. And I like Jade for Josie, however if they want to make this work they have to stop writing about Penelope. On the episode where Josie and Langdon where about to sleep together, that night all of a sudden Penelope's Journal starts rattling and that's what reminds Josie. Really?! Why couldn't she have found out a different way? Maybe Penelope where ever she's at still loves Josie and purposefully ruined her night with Langdon. At least that is what the writers of the show were letting us know, weather they wanted to or not. And if that is the case, maybe Penelope will come back.. (hopefully) if not, then they have to quit bringing up Penelope. Give us some time to let Penelope go. She really was good for Josie. But if they are going to pair Josie up, and not being back Penelope, then Jade is a much better candidate. Jade would be my second choice.
