What do you all want from our fullbacks? This is not Klopp’s system anymore-they’ve moved to a different system. Like, honestly, what more do you want from Kostas? Look, I love Robbo to bits, but Tsimikas was amazing today and should be our number one. Robbo hasn’t had a great season-hopefully, we will see the Robbo of old at some point. But Tsimikas was incredible today-assisting, tracking back, covering the field. He looks like a fullback in his prime and has waited long enough to get his moment. I remember the Arsenal game when Robbo was really struggling, and Kostas came on and basically kept the left side quiet for the rest of the game. He ran the whole field back-tracking Saka or one of the wingers and had that little bit of extra in him to where you thought, “This guy is confident and knows he is in his prime.” Under Klopp, he didn’t look his best, but he looks like a completely different player under Slot. He is the only one of our natural fullbacks not causing mistakes at the moment and looks ready.

Personally, I think Slot's only real issue is his distrust of his bench. Endo, Elliot, Chiesa deserved minutes but Slot only trusts 13 players in the team. It is only going to get worse when injuries start to pile in and performance will begin to plummet. How is anyone going to expect Chiesa to play amazing when he has not even played a full game length in total for the squad.

Alison is still a great keeper but should've kept kelleher as the starting goalkeeper since he was in an impeccable form. Diaz as a false 9 doesn't seem to work, at times he has dropped way too deep. Trents starting place in the XI needs to be revaluated he has been horribly defensively and Bradley does a better job than Trent. And slot needs to make substitutions earlier into the match and give players like chiesa and Elliot a chance!

In his defence, all of our attack was going through him which made it easy to defend. Diaz and Gakpo werent getting in threatening positions to allow Salah to either assist or get a better angle at goal. A lot of his wayward shots were just simply trying to create something out of nothing. Credit were credit is due, Nunez is very good at getting into threatening positions and allows the likes of Salah and co to have more threat. He cant score but he does make it easier on the rest of the attack.

yeah agree. Tbf whenever Gakpo played this season he did his part. His crosses are phenomenal to say the least and has better shot than Diaz of the left wing. I would actually try him again through center because his finnishing rly improved since he came to lfc and pushing Diaz through middle is nonsense. But since Jota is on fire and he always was my preffered front 3 would be Gakpo, Jota, Salah

I don't get the Tsimikas criticism here at all. I thought he was great tonight. Great set pieces and balls into the box. He was bombing forward and then getting back in defence and prevented a forest player from having a shot that could have gone in. He needs to be our starting left back now. He's a confidence player. The more games he starts the better he will be just like last season before he got injured sliding into Klopp on the touchline against Arsenal.

I think they should switch positions. Diaz is kinda waistfull through middle while Gakpo is natural winger but i believe has better shooting and is taller and is more suited to play through middle. So i would play Diaz, Gakpo, Salah but since we have Jota fully back i would stick with Gakpo on the wing and replace Diaz

Lots of people are saying Alisson is not quite the same since he came back from his injury. The club seriously need to look at this position. If the club can't see how we need another LB they seriously are blind. For some reason when the team have some rest, instead of performing better they don't. Diaz has not played well in the last few games. Don't know if his thinking of moving away has anything to do with it. We are missing a spark. Don't know what we need to get that but definitely need something more.

Salah was being man marked 4 players on rotation with shirt pulling , we needed a darwin to run between their shoulders keep them checking him. Been saying for ages Salah just isn’t clutch. Always dries up in goals second half of seasons. When Liverpool were going for titles it was always Firmino and Mane who stepped up when it mattered most. Only once has Salah scored in a final, and it was an early game penalty against Spurs.

Robbos delivery is not as good as the Greek Scouser, so Robbo should be benched. Jota starts now. Salah needs a rest. Give Chiesa a start or at least 30 mins. We need to start games quicker. far too slow at times in the first half. Trying to set traps is not working. We need to stick our chests out like we did for the last 30mins during the first half. Plus we need to work out how to sort out low blocks during first halves so we can stretch the game by the opposition needing to chase the game.

Trent needs to go - he is a useless defender. In fact he is a LIABILITY. Too many times he gets beaten too easiiy and then just gives up and doeesnt attack back - just jogs!! This creates massive problems for the defence. With Robertson passed his best - its the wingback that need replacing.
