This is a tedious concept to get, but practice makes it easier. I appreciate your emphasis on being meticulous about HOW the journal entry should be created and that every entry must have a double entry. The connotation behind the word "debit" makes it difficult to remember that debits make assets increase.

Really useful refresher. My first year of college I had accounting but I was a computer major. I didn't think I was going to go into business so I threw away all my handouts for 101. This is really useful to help refresh my memory of 101 since I have to get the foundations rock solid since I want to major in accounting.

Oct 2nd, 3rd entry; Why is it going to cash and not accounts receivable? And what would happen if the customer (R.Knox) pays?
@fortunatomadamba14547 жыл бұрын
Because he already gave the money to you and you just have to earn it or else you have to give it back, so you already have the cash on hand.
