Journalism & technology track 5 |ICMC II| Moumita De Das| Prof. Shashikala

The School of Media and Communication, Adams University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, organized the "ICMC (International Conference of Media & Communication) - II" on 'Media and Communication Research: Contribution towards Sustainable Development Goals' on January 29, and 30, 2024, to help in sharing knowledge and benefits across the media academic and related communities. While the conference had the central theme focused on sustainable development goals, the prime focus was on Media and Communication Research, which is interconnected with related disciplines in several ways. There were six different tracks: ‘Film and OTT,’ ‘Advertising,’ ‘Development Communication,’ ‘Health Communication and Gender Studies, ‘Journalism and Technology, ‘and ‘Digital and Social Media Communication ‘covering research studies from different articles on media and communication and the allied fields. Forty-six papers were presented on areas like Cinema.
The Conference was graced by Prof. K. G. Suresh, Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, Prof. (Dr.) Debajyoti Chanda, Professor, Rabindra Bharati University, Prof. (Dr.) Radha Tamal Goswami (Pro-Vice Chancellor Academics), Prof. (Dr.) Sushanta Kumar Mandal, Dean of Academics, Adamas University, Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Das, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean of the School of Business and Economics followed by a special session from Prof. K. G. Suresh. The valedictory session of ICMC-II was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Dhuliya, Former Vice Chancellor, Uttarakhand Open University, Director- IIM Prof (Dr.) Sanjeev Bhanawat, Former head and Professor, Center of Mass Communication, University of Rajasthan, Prof. (Dr.) Sapna Naik, Professor, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Mysore, Prof. (Dr.) Kushal Kumar, Former Professor, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Mysore, and Prof (Dr.) Moumita Mukherjee, Dean of Research & Development. The conference will be convened by Sayak Pal, Noveena Chakraborty, Dr. Sharmila Kayal, and the conference secretary, Dr. Akash Deep Muni.
