True and the fact that bg3 is an actual good game with hours and hours of content , no micro transactions and with likeable characters , Karlach is a prime example of how to make a big strong and non human female character without making them horrifying to look at or having the most insufferable personality

I've seen enough clips of Veilguard, all of which would be an automatic no strictly on principle. I'll continue to search for games that attempt to capture that grimdark feel that was in Origins. If things don't have a dire feel to them then there's no immersion.

Do these people not realize that 'it was engineered to win the award show' IS the problem? Making a game is a creative and artful process, not one about ticking all the boxes and aiming for score metrics. They don't know, do they? "Baldur's Gate 3" is woke. It is and we're all fine with it because it's not so much woke as being actually inclusive. The traits and characters that would be typically called woke, aren't in BG3 as they aren't treated special, they aren't untouchable or protected for no other reason than the writers not wanting to offend certain people. The characters in BG3 also aren't shallow shadows of people whose identity is their entire personality like they are in Veilguard.

Best delusional game ever. And one thing you bring up is that BG3 is indeed woke. BUT the writing is great. That's what those idiots don't get. You want to push your stupid politics, fine, but make sure to actually have good writers and never forget about the importance of the narrative. I hate woke nonsense, but one can't deny good stories when they are well written, no matter the politics.
