You know, Vee, I don't know what they expected... He is Captain America. His suit is red, white, and blue. His shield is red, white, and blue with a big star on it. He is basically a living, breathing American flag in shield laden human form. Who, on the left, would be so patriotic and hold that kind of reverence for the American flag? The left hates American symbols so much that they actually mistake the Gadsden flag as a 1940's German symbol... If Captain America had been woke, his design would have to be radically changed to reflect that because such a character would never wear anything this patriotic.

These people have a fundamental lack of understanding of what Captain America represents. Sure, he's Murican, but Captain America was never Republican bad or Democrat bad. He represents the best that all of us can aspire to be. He stands up for what he believes is right and will fight anyone he thinks is an enemy of the people. Even if that's the American government. That's why he's such an inspirational figure. It's also why Sam Wilson utterly fails as Captain America, because Disney clearly inserted their own Leftist politics into The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, effectively making Sam Wilson a Captain America that cannot resonate with and inspire everyone, because unlike Steve Rogers, they made Sam Wilson political.

Both Republicans and Democrats forget Captain America is Steve Rogers, and Steve Rogers is an individual. Captain America is a SYMBOL...and Steve Made it matter. But... We will forget how he renouced to the mantle in the 60s and became Nomad or how he rebeled against the government in Civil War? Steve sadly represents a broken dream.... Mastectomy scars were already normal - for cancer victims, who are many times more common than transgenders. Women have suffered mastectomies for various reasons for hundreds of years. The games industry did not care about mastectomies until it was useful for grooming children.

I've never hear breast cancer survivors asking for chest scars in video games. It's also weird that trans men want a female with chest scars rather than just picking a male character. It's almost like they don't really want to be the opposite gender, they just want to be a special snowflake.

And I don't fault the games industry for pretending they didn't exist, presumably until a narrative brought them up, had nothing external come to interfere. I don't imagine cancer patients want their mastectomy scars as an aesthetic choice, and for those that do, a scar customisation system would accomplish the same and provide even more customisation, inclusion, and immersion to the player. Imagine if, instead, there was an entire list of overlays that could be freely positioned anywhere on the body. Weird trans allies could place some curved scars under the pecs, and the rest of us could roleplay as Genzo from One Piece. They could have even included the scars in the list of overlays, and actively pointed it out in the marketing, and we'd have just groaned and moved on. "Urgh! Why do you have to advertise it like that?.. Layering different scars is cool, though. I'm gonna make a shark bite." Instead, it's an actual menu option The system has existed for well over a decade, a near unlimited layering system should be the norm for character creators by now. You finish up, it compresses your scar map into a new texture, so you don't have 150 data points to remember, and jobs a good 'un. Vitiligo is a fine inclusion. Most people ignore that one, but the problem with it is you can't often customise both skin tones. If I can't make my characters skin purple, with yellow vitiligo patches, then where's the freedom? If that offends anyone, grow up. I have a skin condition too, but you don't hear me moaning about eczema inclusion. Never even thought to apply blush and move it to the creases. I don't want to be reminded of the itching, thank you very much.

The two in the back began bum rushing once the one in my face gave the go ahead. I choose to not have cracked rips and get literally pissed on. (imagine if a chick?) Was blessed to have a fencing coach who was a multi gold mental olympian and was forced to do 4 years of it. I was stabbing the shit out of at least one. (If you walk at night like I was, 3AM, even if upper middle class area because rich teens who get high and go for a drive looking for trouble too, carry a minimum 2 inch blade, preferable fixed. Search neck knife on amazon or walmart... dirt cheap shit can work... no the same if it folds/springs open. That requires quality control, more money. Fixed blades are the least restricted type of knife yet that is what police are issued. (Often Ka-Bar TDI... easiest shit to use, made for as little skill as possible. Just jab someone like you are punching them in the neck.) Constitutional carry should be a federal mandate... I guess give LA solace form that. Through most of US history people carried around giant bowie knives and revolvers, before that our literal presidents were dueling with Small Swords (stiletto like spear piecing swords that could easily be pushed out the back of someone... Andrew Jackson did that to a score of men and he was bad ass.) We fix school shooting by taking all the kids who have shown any potential for violence (5 y/o burning ants on the drive way? Shoots airsoft at cats... basically and animal cruelty even if a rat?) and put them in a separate school. Kid has made a threat before and we let him back in? No, banned. He indeed doesn’t need school.

The article linked in the begining claiming he would be a New Deal Democrat argued that just based on his year or birth, the location he grew up, and who he claimed to support in the original comics (FDR). Of course, without mentioning that FDR was a massive racist who was behind a lot of the anti-black policies the activists today claim really hurt black families even until today. Like redlining.

I remember this article (and the writer, Amanda "There's no such thing as a false epaR even though the Duke Lacrosse players proved me wrong" Marcotte). Apparently, Steve Rogers/Captain America being against the Sokovia Accords makes him a "Libertarian" in the writer's eyes. However, let's look at who supports the Sokovia Accords... General Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross - The man whose actions lead to The Abomination, who was a bloodthirsty soldier that he trusted more than The Hulk. The Council - The people that launched a nuclear missile at New York City to kill the Chitauri despite the Avengers being there to fight them and the fact that the nuclear missile would have killed millions of people and cause several problems for the USA. Tony Stark/Iron Man - The man that created Ultron, who murdered Quiksilver and several other people ('Captain America: Civil War' even showed that people died in the crossfire of the battle and Tony outright admits it's his fault that Ultron was created..."...Again, my bad."). Actually, come to think of it. Wouldn't the media consider Tony "I've Successfully Privatized World Peace" Stark to be more of a Libertarian than Cap? There's also the fact that in the 2nd 'Captain America' movie, Steve discovered that HYDRA, which was created by The Red Skull (A Big Fat Nutzee) infiltrated SHIELD and many branches of USA government. So in other words, several of the people that support the Sokovia Accords are people that have caused a lot of trouble and Cap has seen his own nation's government be infiltrated by the same group of people he fought in WW2. Captain America has several reasons to be against the Sokovia Accords and if the media thinks that makes him a "Libertarian" then they're unintentionally giving great argument IN FAVOR of someone being a Libertarian.

To give you an idea of how dumb the surgery thing in dragon age is: Louis XIV The Sun King had a wound on his rear from frequent horse riding, a fistula. Everywhere he went, it would smell of blood and feces. He finally found a physician willing to attempt the operation. First the physician demanded to practice for six months on other people. Then he finally operated on Louis. No anaesthetic, no pain relief whatsoever, treating and sewing tbe wound through the night before applying fruit juice to disinfect and let it heal. And that was a successful operation carried out by a man a king could afford.

So long as Captain America is actual Libertarian(aka pro free market, pro social and civic freedoms) and not a republican who pretends to be Libertarian, that's actually a cool detail they did to Captain America. After all, when America just started out it was pretty Libertarian(with one glaring exception sadly)

The original PoPs were brutally challenging. I was too young and impatient to ever finish them, but then I entered my teens, and the Sands trilogy rolled around. I sought out those games and played them constantly. Warrior Within is my favourite overall, but I love Sands of Times presentation. I thought it was the smartest use of the respawn mechanic I'd ever seen. That weird Cell Shaded one was fine, but never really scratched that itch for me, and thankfully, they released Forgotten Sands, which admittedly, wasn't as good as the original trilogy, but had it's moments. It's probably on par with Two Thrones. I'm a PoP fan. Have been since before I could really play it. At least since before the age rating would have let me. You have to try to make me not buy a PoP game. You're gonna piss me off when you give him a name and make a crappy movie about it, but I'm still gonna see it. I have negative interest in the new PoP. It repels me. I don't care if it makes me a bigot. I don't care if it means I'm not a real PoP fan in anyones eyes. Simply put, I'm a would-be customer they've chased away with their BS

If Captain America was real, his politics would probably roughly align with some of Tom Lehrer's statements about more modern politics (from around the 1980s) which basically comes down to a mix of 'you aren't actually arguing politics but rather which cult to belong to' to 'its a complex issue where I can see both sides,' to 'what the fuck are you even debating about'. Also, the author seems to have no idea what the New Deal Democrats were about. Aside from trying to institute comminism, they hate everything FDR did.

Captain America never been big government which is a heavily left wing thing. He regularly tells the government where to get off when it crosses too many lines. (Like Civil War.) He definitely is more right leaning in his stances than leftwing, and that kind of goes with the territory though he isn't some neocon. Democrats are so used to being pandered to, so this angers them when something isn't being filtered thru their lens.

I can see a world where elements of libertarianism works (like limiting government size to a degree since historically government was always smaller than in modernity in almost all cases) but on the whole I'm no longer married to many of the ideas or moral presumptions.

@vgamedude9811 whilst I agree ostensibly we have to be better than that, and welcome in those of any background or political affiliation when they finally see the light that is "governments suck, we need better leadership". It's just hard to get a concensus. It's hard when one examines any particular group in depth. I hope for everyone to suddenly wake up and demand better one day, but they rarely do. It requires great sacrifice and onstinance. I forgive them for their idiocy, but not their weakness. Same for the libertarians. Some good, some bad, most ignorant.
