Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductees Journey return to Japan for a very special concert filmed at Budokan, the legendary arena in Tokyo in 2017 . This concert film captures the iconic rock band recreating their legendary albums Escape and Frontiers, in an explosive once in a lifetime performance.
Opening with the iconic Don’t Stop Believin’, the band rips through a two hour set featuring songs such as Open Arms, Who’s Crying Now, Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), Stone in Loveand Faithfully. After the close of their performance of Frontiers, Journey returns to the stage to perform two blistering extended encores of La Raza del Soland Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'.

After all, a lot of older bands are not the same anymore and yet Journey is reaching out to new heights, every nationalities in every corners of the world. Including closed out arenas and sold out tickets. Already on his 13th year, at some point AP will retire. Whether you love him or hate him, I hope everyone realizes that it was his calling to be the successor. For now lets cherish, enjoy and savor every moment of it. I remember my best friend and I were going to run off together in the 80s and be groupies for Journey. 😂😂😂 Luckily our parents will not let us go. It is so funny I swear I was not gonna like this guy replacing Steve Perry but I have to say he does a fantastic job and sings it with as much heart as Steve did. I'm 55 years old and listened to Journey in the 70's...I LOVE Steve Perry as the front man. I must say though this guy does the band justice. I will never lose my perspective that Steve is the voice of Journey. I must say though that the current lead singer is as good as Steve and I have no problem with him leading the band!! Never been a Journey fan and thought their music was way too oldie rock (and passé) for me...until Arnel joined them and I started re-listening and watching their performances. He breathe a fresh, youthful vibe into the band and made me (and probably a lot of millennials as well) notice and appreciate Journey more. For someone who is past his prime (he joined the band when he was 40, I believe), looking half his age (he looks like he's 25!!!), but singing with so much soul and experience, Arnel Pineda is phenomenal and rockin' it!

My wife and I just went to Queen feat. Adam Lambert a few weeks ago in Minneapolis. Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry are irreplaceable. With that said at the beginning of the concert Adam said he's not there to replace Freddie but to honor him. These bands are legends and their music should still be heard and if that is by another amazing vocalist who doesn't try to be someone there not, then dang it lets enjoy these bands while their still around! P.S. Adam Lamberts voice is out of this world live!
