Arnel Pineda is a beast; he just goes on and on. I'll pay anything if I was there just to watch the concert. The whole band is just awesome. Deen Castronovo is back in the band. He was interviewed recently and said Arnel Pineda's voice is like when he started with the band. If Arnel's voice fffff or something the band won't be getting another singer, or to that effect.

Quite amazing how Arnel was able to slip into Steve Perry's shoes with so little backlash. It's so easy and comforting to attack the new guy - even though he had absolutely nothing to do with other guy leaving. Arnel won tha fans over. He is now a real part of Journey - not a hired gun.

He paid his dues, Journey had to let go of him so he could do his time in rehab. He is still with the same girl but a reformed man at that. I so love this drummer and im happy he made a good change. He is also a great dad, has a strong relationship with his son Kyle. Im happy he is back in Journey.

@@perrysteve80 I have no excuse for what he did. That was horrible. But people do change can change. I do not condole violence too and if I were the girl, I would walk away, too. I just shared the story of that and that theyre together. Just sharing. Not in any way condoling or approving of violence here. And I love this drummer for his talent. We all sin and we all seek absolution that would probably never come. Then we live with the guilt forever, except when one is dementedly narcissistic.

As much as I admire Arnel, he’s not Steve Perry. Minus Steve Smith and Ross Valory. I saw the “classic” Journey lineup in 1983 on the Frontiers Tour. Bryan Adams opened (he only had Cuts Like a Knife out). It was a magical night. Everything afterward is just nostalgia. Now, it looks like Neil has finally forced the inimitable Jonathan Cain out, too. Sorry, but I’m not interested in the Neil Schon Journey tribute band.
