Love Steve Perry's voice. A few more songs from the 1981 Live Houston are Open Arms, Who's Cryin Now, Lovin Touchin Squeezin. This performance never fails to make me tear up. This is one of my favorite Journey songs, but this one live blows me away.

He sings with such passion and feelings. That's part of his greatness. Sad story, he remembers his bond to his father who sang him to sleep every night as a child. He remembered at age 4 hearing him sing on stage and thinking he wanted to be like his dad. Then when he turned 7, his dad just vanished and never came back. That was a painful liss for him. His mom said he left. Never really got answers why. He turned 7 in 1956.

Perry could only do this song every other day on that tour. It is tough on his voice as he does hit those notes at the end. Saw that tour at the Forum in L.A.

I found it!! Steve Perry ❤❤❤❤❤he is amazing . He has touched my life with his voice. You feel every word he sings to the core of your heart. If you want to hear some more amazing notes from the VOICE listen to something to hide. It’s truly a masterpiece especially when Steve mimics the guitar notes with his voice towards the end. Only Steve Perry can do that!!!
