Yes he did stay at Kong's house in the mountains but now he is living with his son that returned from military service. And they were kicked out of their home by his wife. They are now building a new place to live and his son takes very good care of his dad. I watch their channel and it is so heart warming to watch them together.❤

I thought the EXACT SAME THOUGHT. And, the 2 Families are well aquainted through Kong, Dau and Ly Mai. The old Man has also attended several Family Functions previously, but it is possible that Hanh is not as familiar with him. But they are both lovely young folks who have left BAAAAAAD Marriages, and they both deserve Happiness in the future. One can wish for them a happy friendship at least to start with.

​@@ram1brn depends on the mattress. On the channels I watch from there, like her siblings (Ly Mai, Dau and Kong), all have a mattress they have on their bed. It is about 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) thick and has 3 parts to it that unfolds to one solid piece.

@deborahplumley8698 in time she is slowly upgrading her place but for now she has a bed to sleep on (and now bought netting to keep the bugs off them as they sleep), a place to wash/rinse the dishes and food as needed. As for the fan well she does have a hand held one she made. I have not seen any electricity to her home and for now it may not be something she can afford monthly. But in time she is slowly upgrading what she has.

She was out picking new fern tips as they seem to be a good vegetable and free to harvest and sell. I don't know their specific name but in my area they eat the tips of fiddlehead ferns.

The old man looks like he has arthritis in his joints and have never seen an episode saying he was a Type 1 or 2 diabetic. It seems he goes out when his son is not there as he wants to help provide for them too. But sadly his body doesn't let him do that easily anymore.

Yes his Son came back shortly after he was helped home. The old guy likes to do his bit to provide food, but sometimes he overdoes it, he needs to be carefull, because he gets ill easily.

One- would be a tripping hazzard. Two- it would be very uncomfortable on the feet not to mention the bamboo spliters. Three- trying to keep it clean would be difficult not to mention it being on the wet ground it could mold so easily and attract bugs to live under it with it being dark and moist as it slowly rots. You need to remember that they live in a different climate that is humid and causes many issues we don't have to deal with. For now cement to do the floor is a luxury she can not afford plus having to all the sand that is needed to mix it with. In time she will do more upgrades as she can.
