Journey of Recycling - Food Tins

Ever wondered what happens to the food tins which you recycle at home?
Food tins form one of the six material groups accepted via kerbside recycling collections from local authorities in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.
If you live in one of these areas, then the food tins which you recycle at home are placed in a recycling bin with other co-mingled household recyclable materials and delivered to a Materials Recovery Facility.
