I’m impressed. Arnel sounds great here. I just rewatched his performance in Chile back in 2008 which I think was his 5th show with Journey. His voice still sounds the same. I love Steve Perry but you still have to give Arnel credit for bringing it every night. Steve is a tough act to follow.

For those who do not know Ross Valory and Steve Smith tried to cheap back door way to gain control of the band trademark and larger royalties that failed. As a result they were fired from the band. You will never see them in Journey again. They thought that by buying Nightmare productions they would control the trademark but there was a 1998 agreement that superseded that between Steve Perry, Neil and Jonathan. It was a cheap and under handed way to make more money.
