I remember watching this as a TV special around 2010. I could believe how good this 'guy' (Arnel) sounded, I was glued to the screen for the entire concert. Just an incredible story, and for him to be doing this concert in his home country, wow.

Funny you say that. I saw the Journey/Styx/REO concert a few years back. Going into it, Journey was my favorite of the three. Leaving, however, it was REO/Styx/Journey in order of entertainment. Journey damn near put me to sleep.

This guys voice is amazing - the range - the power..... The emotion he draws on! Maybe in his youth Perry was his equal - and on a good day better to some. Id rather see band with Arnel. The story of how Neil found him....... Very happy for Neil and his band mates. Perry never felt like he was part of band - his words. His story is pretty well known and think very few miss it - certainly not the band. And he's a great performer too. Can sing anything. And more importantly is a humble man who should be an inspiration to not just all from his home land but all in general. Always a pleasure to hear his voice.

Really,give respect to Journey for wanting to continue their music,and hats off to Arnel for making that dream come true. Steve Perry is the one who broke away from Journey went solo. i believe there's nothing else to prove. he's been with the band for 8yrs now and still continously rocking the world with their live shows. that alone proves how good arnel in doing his job as the frontman and has already been accepted by the majority fans of journey. he may not have that powerful voice anymore but he can still sing. i hope that others will not hold this up against him. we all know that this is bound to happen to his voice with the continous touring that they are doing.
