Been listening to Journey since '77, so for them to make something like this in the year 2022 is beyond amazing, I am blown away. It takes me back to "Raised on Radio", and Neil Schon still has that signature sound. I'm so proud of this band. Arnel is great, but I will always love Steve Perry and we appreciate the hell out of you Arnel, with you Journey still sounds like Journey!

Amazing song and great album. I'm just sad that surely another great Jonathan Cain ballad is only available on the Japanese release (Hard To Let It Go). I think, that European and American fans would deserve this song too. Journey should publish it for them through Visualizer. I don't know why, but the Japanese version is always the best.

I am going to repost this comment from another video just for this die hard Steve Perry fanatics. "Vocal range alone isn't everything. Otherwise, it would have been pointless for us to even compare singers, someone like Axl Rose has an almost 6-octave vocal range, and people don't think he is the best singer. Keep in mind Steve Perry's voice really wasn't strong on low notes. Your full range as a singer is also about producing low notes, not just high notes. That is just his voice type, he was a light tenor. He did not really use a lot of falsetto and he did not use whistle notes. I find his singing one-dimensional. He never really went out of his comfort zone. He created music to suit his own voice. He never really sang other genres of music. Arnel Pineda has incredible expression, power, and range in his voice and he could sing and did sing in almost every genre of music. He could really change and modify his voice a lot to suit different types of music. He is incredible during live shows. He has a lot of energy and stage presence. He also has this rock swagger and persona. It also amazes me that despite his age, he can still sing at a high level despite being on long and grueling tours for 15 years now. He still sounds amazing. He can still hit the high notes and do some vocal showmanship if he wanted to. But given the present situation, it is unnecessary. Of course, sales and popularity have nothing to do with being good musically, opera singers are the best technically and they don't sell the most albums. Doing a one-take on a song also does not matter. Especially if you are the composer of that song and already know how to deliver the singing and what direction you want that song to achieve. You might also have the chance to rehearse that song on your own before the actual rehearsal or recording. But, generally, the recording session should be fluid or flexible to whatever you want to achieve with that song."
