It looks like one of those animations of a star or blackhole sucking the mass out of another object, slowly expanding and growing. Really cool!

Another Dyson sphere being built, another warm day in the UK… please do more of these during the summer!
@vexital56666 ай бұрын
Really really cool looking was searching for exactly this. keep doing these with different sphere designs just keep the videos a bit shorter next time maybe. Also insane how many dyson sphere rockets you produce while i am sitting on 0.5 per minute
@Calmputer6 ай бұрын
Thank you. and yeah, most of these tend to be a bit longer... I made them mostly just to vibe to. As for the rockets... I had several planets churning out rockets, and a planet for just stockpiling the rockets. So, then whenever I was making a time lapse like this, I'd have 100,000+ rockets just waiting to be delivered.

@@Calmputer yeah thats not gonna happen in my cluster anytime soon haha. I also made my dyson sphere (building my first one in the save rn) the maximum size possible wich also was a big mistake. now i cant make a swarm around it and it takes forever to build.

Such a great watch. Awesome shots. Static images never do this game justice.

Wow!! 😮😮that’s beautiful! The rockets looked like tendrils- Long fingers. The last few mins was gorgeous and I half expected to hear Carl Sagans voice come in lol Nice work and great music choice! How much power did you get out of that?
@Calmputer2 жыл бұрын
I agree, it's an absolutely gorgeous game! (and I'm gonna have to practice my Sagan impression, cause that idea tickles me). As for the Sphere, after all the free solar sails went away, it now generates 535 GW... which is massively overkill. I'm only using about 10% of it.

Wait…you used Homeworld 1 tracks in chronological order. I get the “Journey” title.

Nice one! What's your computer specs? I did a 1TW achievement run, had to hide all spheres or else the frame rate would drop to single digits...
@Calmputer2 жыл бұрын
I've got an Intel Core i7-9700K, 32 Gb G.Skill Trident Z, DDR4, 3200Mhz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 At this point in the game I got around 25fps in systems without a Dyson Sphere, and a little under half that in systems with one. The game has had a few updates since then though, and I hear the game runs a lot better now.

6:38 SOLAR SAIL LAZER
@thatrandomdude5899 Жыл бұрын
How did you get vertical rings to spin like that?
@Calmputer Жыл бұрын
They're not rings of solar sails, they're actual Dyson sphere layers.
@thatrandomdude5899 Жыл бұрын
@@Calmputer yeah how did you make vertical dyson layers spin horizontally
@Calmputer Жыл бұрын
set the angle of the dyson layer to 0 degrees (so that the layer will spin horizontal). then make a strip that goes vertical. The top and the bottom is the only tricky part. The lines will converge at a single point, and no matter what you do, the lines will never be completely straight.
