The hike up Guadalupe Mtn is on the bigger elevation side but the views are amazing. Dam I need some of those Imperial Red Beers and Hatch Green chili biscuits

So far, two passes by Guadalupe and neither were stops/hikes. Third time’s a charm? Yeah, those were both fantastic TorC creations. Rooster will be in Alaska for a music fest this summer, so maybe we can convince her to make a batch of the hatch green chili biscuits and gravy on the road. That would be INCREDIBLE!!!

I just found your channel, very kickback format, I like that! I’m a NM native, we live in the mountains east of Santa Fe, so it’s great to see our state on KZbin, maybe more folks will come and enjoy New Mexico 👍🏼 we travel with a 40 foot fifth wheel and we are seriously thinking of down sizing both trailer and tow rig ( Ford F 450 King Ranch) and become more independent and flexible in where we can park overnight, etc. I’ll be following you guy’s videos and see how Picolino works out. By the way there’s an Italian Restaurant in Santa Fe by the same name -Picolino’s God’s Speed!

Thank you for watching! We loved the Santa Fe area, especially east of the city. There are some incredible hiking opportunities there and we tried a few breweries around town. That does sound like a very large, but I’m sure very comfortable rig. Getting smaller has certainly expanded our options and we’re happy to be spending more time outside and being more nimble. Keep on adventuring!

Absolutely! We did some home brewing for a few years, before hitting the road on this adventure, and love a good pint! Maybe some future content in beer-making when we head home! Cheers!🍻

Awesome scenery on the hikes and great drone shots. Thanks for sharing

Thank you! We’re still learning how to use the drone, but it’s fun to fly and can certainly capture a perspective we can’t get from the ground. Unfortunately, there are a lot of places we can’t fly it, so trying to include some drone footage we’re we can.

Just found you guys and I really enjoy the videos. Keep them coming. My husband and I are still working for a few more yrs and can’t wait to get out and travel and hike. Congrats on Banff. Planning a two week trip in two years.

We’re pretty excited about Banff. One bit of information that we didn’t capture in the video is that the Canadian national parks are using a rolling start for their reservation system, meaning the reservation system opens on different days for different parks. Make sure you’re registered in the system before Banff’s opening day and get online early as the best spots go quickly. It’s a new system and had some kinks this year, but should be smooth sailing by the time your ready for that adventure. Thanks for watching!

Great views and wild weather. I know we're a couple weeks out seeing this but in Indiana we hit 30 deg last night and heading for highs of 78 by the end of the week. Come on Spring. Happy belated birthday Kelly! Enjoy every video, thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to be in your shoes!

Thank you 🙏! We’re just about one week behind, so much closer to real time. Spring must be here. We’re in southern Utah and we went from temps in the 40s a few days ago to 70s today! We’re having a wonderful time on our adventure and hope that everyone gets a chance to live their own version! Cheers!

Thanks Sally! Elephant Butte State Park is a short drive to TorC. It’s well worth a stop if you head down to southern NM.

We've driven past Gallup a ton visiting friends in ABQ, I guess we need to stop now. I'm always like "hey there's Church Rock "(as I see the sign from the highway) lol

It’s totally worth the stop. You could easily knock out both hikes in a day.

When you did the Starlink Connection, do you recall the wiring diagram for each of the cables. I assume you 1) cutoff the cable coming from the Starlink Router and connected it to the back side of the waterproof connector. 2) on the cable to the starlink antenna you connected a new RJ45 connector on the side of the starlink cable that runs to your Starlink antenna. Are those connections reversed or are they simple thru connections? Thanks for your posts. We're Hull 505 owners also heading to Alaska in June.
@HardAleeAdventures Жыл бұрын
I cut the antenna cable to allow enough on the router side to snake it from the aft overhead cabinet down to the “basement”, then installed male, grounded RJ45 connectors to each end. Then I installed a waterproof RJ45 female to female connector in place of the satellite coax connector. The router side stays permanently installed and the antenna side gets unplugged on travel days and stowed with the antenna. This also limits the amount of unplugging and plugging back in the antenna and router, which I’ve read have a propensity to fail at those connectors. I hope that helps. It was a pretty straightforward install and is outlined in the Oliver forum by SAK. Safe travels and maybe our paths will cross in the 49th state!
@HardAleeAdventures Жыл бұрын
Oops. Forgot to mention I used basic CAT 6B (T568B) wiring on both ends. The female to female mates them up correctly, so no need to reverse wiring on either connector.

hope you guys have fun in Jasper & Banff. Jasper is (more or less) my backyard. remember Moraine lake parking lot is closed to car traffic. you have to take a shuttle bus from Lake Louise ski area

Thank you for that information. This will all be a new-to-us area as we move toward Alaska. It just makes it that much more of an adventure.
