Cooper, a proud Ford Scholar Class of 2016, has a remarkable story. From his roots at Myrtle Point High School in Coos Bay, Oregon, to earning a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Oregon State University and going on to pursue medical school to become a physician.

Our Ford Scholars Program is an undergraduate scholarship available to promising high school seniors or recent high school graduates who work hard, have significant financial need and face barriers to higher education. Up to 130 renewable scholarships are awarded each year to students from Oregon and Siskiyou County, California.
