For those of you commenting on the bassist and drummer, here's an update. The bassist is now a graduate of MSU with a Masters in Music Composition and an astonishing bassist in metal-based groups; the drummer is a graduate of Full Sail University with a BS in Audio Arts, and is a multi instrumentalist working with various bands and songwriters, and doing producer work in his studio. :)

The fact that the micing and PA arrangement makes this a lead bass tune does nothing to take away from her performance, which is damn good for age/experience. To quote Lenny on Law & Order, "I have ties older than her." "And maybe a pair of shoes, too." LOL

@oldskuul Really? Wicked awful? what musical videos of yourself are you posting? would like to see them. These kids are 14-17 years old..... 5 years ago.... today, two are at Berklee, the bass player is graduating UOFM with a degree in Music, the drummer is a multi-instrumentalist, has a recording studio, has sat in with Dweezil Zappa ; and teaches 15 students on drums, bass and guitar; the blond singer is a songwriter and metal drummer well known in Detroit (her BF is actually Nugent's drummer). So, wicked awful is really not how one would describe these kids.

As a now 40 year bass player, I agree with everyone who is impressed with that bass player, confidently playing a line which can be difficult to get right, especially for someone so young. Strong work for sure. Yes, the bass might be too loud, but you say that like it's a bad thing. 😉 It's hard to tell but it looks like she's using an older Ampeg combo amp. It's loud and pretty clean with good tone -- harder to get that outdoors on concrete. If the bass player is too loud, the lead guitar player is too quiet -- for just a second you couldn't tell if that intro lead was being played at all.
